Background and Intended Audience
Background
The Lebanon Model Bank Phase 1 developments were delivered to a Temenos client starting in Q3 2015. Thereafter, a plan was conceived to port these developments into the BBDS (Temenos Bank) Demo system which with the following objectives:
- Proof of concept for a Country Model to work within the framework and set up of Model Bank
- Provide a demo area to pre-sales with demo data on a sustainable basis
Intended Audience
This document is intended to guide Temenos sales and pre-sales personnel about the data and functionality, which is currently available in the Lebanon Model Bank in BBDS (Temenos Bank)

In order for the Lebanon Model Bank to work, within the framework of the Model Bank, the following top level setups were required:
- Creation of a Lebanon Lead Company with Lebanese Pound (LBP) as local currency:

Bills Capturing mutiple bills favouring a single customer in a single screen
Cheques Issuance Cheque issuance workflow to cater to "non-currency" tagged cheque books
Customer KYC Additional fields in customer creation screen to cater local KYC needs
Domiciliation Salary and utility bill payments
Funds Transfer Front end validation in FT screen to validate source of funds and cross currency transaction
Guarantees Controling expiry date on Auto renew type guarantees
Manager Cheques Issuance and clearing of Certified cheques
Taxes Collecting tax for certain type of transactions at branch level and moving it to head office
Account Numbering Creation of account numbers in a specifc format to support cheque issuance process
Stamps Purchase, consumption and inter-departmental transfers of stamps
Standing Order Applying a upper limit for balance type STOs
Teller-Front End Front end validation in TT screen to validate source of funds and cross currency transaction
Inward Clearing Payment of funds for cheques presented by other banks inside and outside Lebanon
Outward Clearing Presentment of cheques to other banks to get funds for cheques payable inside and outside
