How to prepare for a presentation (cont.)
Establishing technical level of content
Not too technical
You should make it understandable for another FYP student who is not involved in your area of study
Show the ‘bigger’ picture of your project to illustrate its interest or importance
Make it clear where your work fits into the ‘bigger’ picture
Clearly explain what your contribution has been and will be
Practice

How to prepare for a presentation (cont.)
What to put on your slides …
Words and phases - not sentences
No spelling mistakes
Same frame size, font, and location
Use bold or italic - not underline
Images – where appropriate – but keep them simple
In professional presentations limit the use of animation
Make it easy to read – dark background with light text or light on dark is up to you
Keep it uncluttered
