Embracing digital technology is more than improving productivity at NKF. The time saved will go towards providing higher level of patient care. The clinicians will be able to provide efficient care delivery anytime, anywhere with remote access. In addition, the digitised data will be well leveraged to provide valuable insights into our patients’ medical condition and useful for advancing renal care as well as allow for inter-agency research and collaboration. Established in 1969, the NKF provides quality, highly subsidised treatment and holistic care to more than 3,500 dialysis patients at its 32 centres island-wide. For each dialysis treatment, nurses are required to manually record patients’ data throughout the process, which is very tedious and time-consuming. With the implementation of the Renal Point of Care System (RPOCS), NKF has reduced its dependency on nurses to perform such administrative duties, enabling them to focus more on improving quality of patient care. This is made possible with support from WSG’s WorkPro under LEDS to help defray some of the implementation costs. Changes are the only thing that will not change. In this period where changes are a lot more rapid compared to the past, businesses need to transform and create more values to continue development. LEDS have been wonderful in helping us in our development and transformation. By sharing we hope more SMEs can benefit from these schemes and progress together to the benefits of many others.

OLLO, an automatedlaundry kiosk to provide 24/7self-service laundry services

Incorporated in 1987, Zero Spot Laundry Service is a professional laundry service provider offering large-scale laundry solutions to hotels, hospitals and serviced apartments in Singapore and Asia.

Manpower availability and costs are huge barriers in operating a profitable and scalable B2C laundry business. With support from SPRING's Capability Development Grant (CDG), Zero Spot created OLLO, a 24/7 self-service and automated laundry kiosk, to provide faster, better and easier laundry services for the public.
