Parish Financial Status "The $10 Campaign"

Dear Brothers and Sisters, We want to share with you a very important topic: "How churches work". In the United States, churches, i.e. parishes, have the responsibility to generate the necessary income to cover all their expenses and to contribute a percentage of this income to the diocese to which they belong. In normal operation, no church receives financial assistance from outside; and when a church fails to cover its expenses, it is eventually closed down. Here, we are very fortunate to have a large and beautiful church, but so are the expenses. Our sources of income are primarily Mass collection offerings and activities to raise funds. At this time, the collection only covers 25% of the expenses; therefore, we need to increase this percentage. That is why we are always doing fundraising activities. But these are not always completely successful. For example, since August, we have asked for donations to install a new air conditioning system in our church, and we have only made $22,923 of the $40,000 needed. Additionally, in the future, we will have to invest money for a new roof, of which the cost will be very high. That's why we're launching this “$10 campaign.” Please, help your church! With a little effort we can make a big difference. The Bible tells us that we should donate tithing, that is, 10% of our income; But we do not ask for that, but only a $10 donation every Sunday; only if you have the blessing of God to have a job. And to the people who donate more, we give our deepest thanks. On the other hand, our second Mass collection is used to pay our basic services such as water, gas, electricity, telephone, etc. Therefore, it will continue to be done. Thank you and may God reward you fourfold! In the next bulletins, we will present the financial status of our parish in more detail.

Estado financiero de nuestra parroquia “Campaña de los $10”

Queridos Hermanos, Queremos compartir con ustedes un tema muy importante: "Cómo funcionan las iglesias". En los Estados Unidos, las iglesias, es decir las parroquias, tienen la responsabilidad de generar los ingresos necesarios para cubrir todos sus gastos y para contribuir con un porcentaje de estos ingresos a la diócesis a la que pertenecen. En funcionamiento normal, ninguna iglesia recibe ayuda financiera de afuera; y cuando una iglesia no logra cubrir sus gastos, la cierran. Aquí, somos muy afortunados de tener una iglesia grande y hermosa, pero así también son los gastos. Nuestras fuentes de ingresos son principalmente las ofrendas en la colecta y las actividades para recaudar fondos. En este momento, la colecta solamente cubre el 25% de los gastos; por lo que tenemos que aumentar este porcentaje. Es debido a eso que siempre estamos haciendo actividades para recaudar fondos. Pero éstas no siempre cuentan con un gran éxito. Por ejemplo, desde agosto, hemos pedido donativos para la renovación del aire acondicionado de nuestra iglesia, y solo llegamos a $22,923 de los $40,000 necesarios. Adicionalmente, próximamente, tendremos que invertir dinero para un nuevo techo, del cual el costo será muy alto. Por eso, estamos lanzando esta campaña de los $10. Por favor, ¡ayuden a su iglesia! Con un pequeño esfuerzo podemos hacer una gran diferencia. La biblia nos dice que deberíamos donar el diezmo, es decir, el 10% de nuestros ingresos; pero no les pedimos eso, sino tan solo una donación de $10 cada domingo; solamente si usted tiene la bendición de Dios de tener trabajo. Y a las personas que donen más, les damos nuestro profundo agradecimiento de antemano. Por otro lado, la segunda colecta se usa para pagar los servicios básicos como agua, gas, luz, teléfono, etc. Por lo tanto, se seguirá realizando. Muchas gracias y ¡que Dios se lo multiplique! En los próximos boletines, presentaremos el estado financiero de nuestra parroquia más en detalle.

HORA SANTA Y EUCARÍSTICA POR LA VIDA

Oraremos por la protección de los bebés que aun no han nacido, por las madres embarazadas en situaciones difíciles, por que se creen leyes en favor de la vida, por la sanación de madres y familias afectadas por un aborto, y por el fin del aborto.

Un profundo AGRADECIMIENTO al Grupo Hispano del Rosario por haber organizado el Bingo

y Desayuno Familiar el pasado 20 de noviembre. Igualmente, gracias a todos los que participaron.

Se recolectaron $2,257 y fueron donados a nuestra parroquia.
