Welcome to the Leeds Museums and Galleries Schools’ offer! Thank you for supporting us last year when our school visitor figures were the highest we have ever experienced. We believe that museums and galleries have an important role to play as a motivating force for inspiring learning across and well beyond the curriculum through the historic nature of many of our sites and the amazing collections we hold. This year we have an exciting mix of tried and tested workshops for you with new offers for the new academic year. They range from Key Stage 1 to Post 16 sessions, covering both the arts and the sciences. We also have a range of self-led visits to offer which are supported at a number of sites by the learning packs we are producing. Please see individual site information for details. We also have a growing body of online resources on both our own website and that of MYLEARNING.

Experience World War Two at Thwaite Watermills by investigating real artefacts as evidence Discover why putty production was so important, measure out a week’s rations and hear a real air raid siren
