Length of Programme Two years (part-time)

Mode of Study Online classroom sessions supported by face-to-face learning

Assessment To complete the apprenticeship, you must complete a portfolio of work and pass the end point assessment consisting of two 1.5 hour examinations. To gain the university award of Certificate of Higher Education (Legal Services ) you must complete a range of university assessments including unseen examinations, multiple choice tests, written problem based questions and practical legal drafting exercises, legal research, coursework and an e-portfolio of work.

Entry Requirements Educational Background• Minimum of 5 GCSEs including English Language and

Mathematics at Grade C or above, and

• 96+ UCAS points or equivalent UK or international qualification; or:

• Between 88 and 95 UCAS points or equivalent UK or international qualification PLUS successful completion of the BPP University Certificate of Higher Education (Legal Services) Admissions Test; or

• Successful completion of a relevant Intermediate (Level 2) or Advanced (Level 3) apprenticeship PLUS successful completion of the BPP University Certificate of Higher Education (Legal Services) Admissions Test;

Applicants with an alternative qualification to those specified above may still be considered at the discretion of the Director of Programmes.

English LanguageIELTS score of 6.5 (overall) or equivalent, with a minimum of 6.0 in each component.

If you obtain a score of 6.5 overall, you will have to attend In-sessional English/Academic English classes, alongside the programme during the first term of studies, at no additional cost.

This apprenticeship programme has been designed to meet the Paralegal Apprenticeship Standard, developed by a group of employers known as ‘Trailblazers’. These standards have been developed to ensure that you gain a highly relevant education that meets the requirements and practical business needs of employers.

What job roles are suitable?To join an apprenticeship you must first be in full-time employment with an employer who is participating in the scheme. Your role must be relevant to the programme and may include:
