should have natural ventilation. Figure 1 shows the wind conditions on Møn. Through the year the wind ismostly blown in from west. The side with opening for natural ventilation should therefore be facing west toachieve the most e↵ective ventilation.

Figure 2 shows an inside and outside sketch of the house. Inside the house the eelgrass is dried on shelves. Theshelves are built in layers furthermore the shelves have holes so the water from eelgrass can be evaporatedfully. The house will have openings at the side and a roof opening to release the evaporated water. A veryimportant requirement for natural ventilation is that the roof opening needs to 3-4 times bigger than thetotal area of opening. The length of the house needs to be 5 times bigger than the height in order to achievenatural ventilation. Otherwise the natural ventilation does not work.Figure 3 shows a proposal of measurements to the house to space four shelves:

• Width of the house 25 m.

• Length of the house 22 m.

• Length of the shelves 15 m.

• Width of the shelves 2 m.

• Width between the shelves 7 m.

The width between the shelves are specified with the consideration of a tractor can drive between the shelves.The consideration has been made to make it easy for Møn Tang to place and pick up eelgrass on the shelves
