A LETTER FROM THE TURF MAINTENANCE TEAM
John Chassard
Director of Grounds
610.967.4643
Dear Lehigh Members, I would say the most frequently asked question I get regarding course etiquette is "when do I or do not replace my divot?" Many courses have different practices but in our case we have bent grass fairways and it is always best to replace the divot. A bent grass divot has the best chance of recovering as opposed to other grasses especially if there is a fair amount of soil with the divot. If there is not a divot to replace then obviously use the soil and seed mixture. If the divot does not survive, the grounds crew will replace it with a soil and seed mixture as part of our normal summer maintenance. So when in doubt, replace your divot and we'll take it from there! Nice work on the ball mark repair! We have seen an improvement so please keep up the good work. Fix yours and one or two others! Swing Easy, John Director of Grounds

Dear LCC Members: Cheers to Summer! We are looking forward to all the activity on the terrace, at the pool, on the course and on the courts! Memorial Day weekend was a bit of a wash out but we are hoping mother nature cooperates moving forward. If you are poolside this season, be sure to check out the new offerings at the Snack bar. There will be features that change every couple weeks and new items including a Thai Salad, Pulled Pork, Panini of the week, Empanadas and more! We also have some fun buffets and other events planned. Watch your weekly email. If you have not signed up for the Family Picnic yet, be sure to do so! I would just like to remind the membership of our of our house policies. Any food or beverages consumed on Club property must be purchased on Club property unless approved by management. We thank you in advance for adhering to this. The restaurant has been extremely busy, serving over 100 dinners most nights. We ask that you please make a reservation when coming to the Club so we can provide the best possible member experience. Also, please understand that we will accommodate specific table requests to the best of our ability but we cannot guarantee that. As always, if you have any suggestions or comments (good or bad), please reach out and let me know. Happy Father’s Day to all the Fathers, Grandfathers, etc! Dear LCC Members, Welcome back to summer! Can you believe Memorial Day has come and gone? Thank you to all my staff for working extra shifts and staying late during the busy spring and early summer. Also, thank you to Server Assistants JB and Gabe and other staff from the main restaurant that have been helping me out from time to time; thanks guys! Many of you have asked about the popular steak nights. I would suggest calling Marianne Zerfass if you still would like to book, however, Tuesday and Wednesday are really the only feasible nights due to how busy the Club is every other night of the week. I appreciate how many of you have been able to book and enjoy the steak night with your group of friends. Kudos to Chef Randy and his team for making each and every night great. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to make your member experience more enjoyable. Thank you, Ivan Fenstermacher Men’s Locker Room
