This free health check up camp was organized by Lions Club of Balasore Sand-City.

We the Leos were very excited as this was our first activity. All the members of Lions Sand-City guided us to lead such activities in future. 200 patients came and had their check up. This service camp was very successful.

Thanks to Lions Club of Balasore Sand-City for this wonderful opportunity to serve the community.

HEALTH CAMP

TALENT SHOW• Date - 14th October 2010• Place - Modern Public School, Balasore• Time - 3pm

The talent show was held on Children’s Day. 86 students from different schools of Balasore participated in this. On the same day and at same place we also organized a drawing competition. Mr. Manish Verma & his wife Dr. Rashmi Verma; the then district magistrate presided over the function as the guests. Our Region Chairperson Lion Dinesh Khandelwal, Zone Chairperson Lion Sanjay Das, Cabinet Member Lion Ayan Sen & Members of our sponsoring club Lions Club of Balasore Sand-City graced to the function. The function was attended by a large audience and the event was a grand success.

It was our first fund raising activity. On the first day there was a

magic show & on the other day there was a musical show.

Varieties of food stalls & game stalls were there. Crowd was good

on both the days. Members of all the three Lions club along with

their family members were present there. Even we had a lucky

draw on the second day.

This was a special day for all the Leos as our club was inaugurated by the gracious hands of District governor Lion Gopinath Mohanty. Our Regional Chairperson Lion Dinesh Khandelwal, Zone Chairperson Lion Sanjay Das were also present on this day. Members of all the three lions clubs, cabinet members & our Leo advisor Lion Zubin Bodhanwala were present there to encourage us. We took oath of being a Leo member. We promised to do the best amongst all & make our sponsoring club proud of us.

INAUGURAL CEREMONY

There were five participants from Balasore Leo club. We all got to know much more about club activities.Having been new those days it helped us a lot & we did learn lots of activities. We had fun.

LEO LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE

REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION AT ADOPTED SCHOOL

EYE SCREENING CAMP• Date – 5th February 2011• Venue - U P Nodal School, Matasahi, Balasore

This eye screening camp was organized by we the leos in association with our parent club.

In this camp 86 patients came. 12 patients were detected cataract & they had had their free eye operation at the lions eye hospital, balasore. We the leos were genuinely satisfied after having this service camp.

SARASWATI PUJA CELEBRATION AT LIONS ADOPTED SCHOOL

Celebrating Saraswati Puja with the children of the adopted school was a great moment for all of us.We organized a puja, distributed Prasad & Tiffin packetsto all children.

District Governor’s Official Visit• Date - 6th March 2011• Venue - Hotel Bhojan The Traditional, Balasore

This was the most memorable as we got our charter certificate, membership certificates and the most important the Leo pin by the gracious hands by the gracious hands of honorable DG Lion Gopinath Mohanty. The members of all the three lions club were present. All the clubs gave their presentation report.

DISTRIBUTION OF EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS AT CRECHE CENTRE

• Date - 23rd July 2011• Venue - The Crèche Centre, Balasore We distributed educational materials at the Crèche Centre.

PEACE POSTER CONTEST

TALENT SHOW• Date – 14th November 2011• Venue - Modern Public School

Being indulged in this event for the second continuous year; was worth enjoying. 120 participants took part in this competition. Press & media also supported us in this.

FUN FIESTA• Date - 14th & 15th January 2012• Venue - Hotel Fantacy

Food, Fun & Masti were the main tag line of this event & every word of this tag line were observed at the site. This year we had a profit of nearly thirty five thousand rupees. We have decided to spend it in a good social cause which would be a great help to the society.

REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION & VISIT TO BLIND SCHOOL

• We celebrated Republic day at the adopted school as well at the club premises. Study materials were distributed in collaboration with Lions Club of Balasore Sand-City.

• We then donated two pair tabla at a blind school “PRAYAS” Seeing the inborn talent in them we felt as like they indeed require a stage to perform on it. Very soon we are we are going to organize an event for them.
