The car scene – Mid shot

Here we see two binary opposite character types or otherwise know as cliques in teen dramas. In the left shot we have 3 girls , looking happy, smug – we get the impression they are popular from there stage presence . Also there car is clean and looks quite new. Then we cut to the next shot straight after which is the girl by herself in a what looks pretty old car and she is looking straight forward. The fact she's by herself the audience typically think she has no friends and is not popular. This is the idea we get .

This is a crab camera movement of both mid shots of both scenes.

Close up shot – Main character We can tell this is a main character or one of them because there is a close-up shot and this happens a lot thought-out the film. From the shots we can see she has a natural look about her and we get quite an innocent look from her. In every shot we can see she isn't wearing a lot of makeup and even none. From her facial expressions she comes across as a cold person.
