$8— Adult Meal; $4—Children’s Meal

Menu: Salmon, rice, salad, refreshment, dessert

There will be a 50/50 and loonie raffle table. All proceeds will assist with travel to the 2013

Annual Elders’ Gathering in Prince George.

Youth Update Abbotsford Agrifair

Date: August 2nd—5th, 2013

Please indicate whether you and your family

would be interested in attending the Abbotsford

Agrifair. Children aged 10 and under are free to

attend. Bother parents of one family may attend.

We will need 20+ signed (combined parents and

youth who are 11+ years). If we get enough inter-

est, those signed up by July 26th at 4 pm will re-

ceive tickets to attend for one day during the fes-

tival.

Parents: for those of you who wish to attend, we

will provide to those that identify that they will

be driving to the event $5.00 for the parking fee.

This is not a group outing. Pending the minimum

sign up numbers, those who receive tickets from the office may attend any one day during the event.

Drumming/Cultural

Every Thursday from 5-8 pm at the Leq’a:mel Gymnasium (unless posted otherwise)

Please remember that we do have spare drums for the boys and clapper paddles for the girls.

Drum Making Workshop on June 27th for those who attended all drumming/cultural nights in May

and June.

Participation Incentive

The participation incentive provides members a chance to win $500 or $1000.

Each time you attend a cultural gathering, band meeting, youth meeting, fundraiser, community

function, or volunteer at events and activities your name is entered into a year– end draw!

Leq’á:mel First Nation invites you to the 2nd Annual

June 22, 2013 Xá:ytem, 35087 Lougheed Highway, Mission

In 2012, it was decided that Leq’á:mel First Nation would

hold our own Aboriginal Day celebration titled, “Leq’a:mel

Day”. Leq’á:mel Day is a time to celebrate and define what it

means to be Aboriginal, and in particular, to be Leq’á:mel.

Events from 10 am—2 pm

Self-guided tours of Xá:ytem

Bouncy Castles, Dunk Tanks, etc.

Drumming and Dancing

Face Painting

Doors closed from 2 pm—4 pm

Events from 4 pm—7 pm

4 pm Doors Open

5 pm Dinner

6 pm Cultural Work
