The Lesotho Government prohibits and restricts the import and export of certain goods to and from Lesotho. One of the functions of Lesotho Revenue Authority under client services unit is to protect society supported by customs and excise act no 10 of 1982 section 114. Any importer and/or Exporter including travelers that wish to import and/or export goods into Lesotho and is not certain of any controls on those goods may contact the Lesotho Revenue Authority to inquire about requirements of importation of such goods before importation or exportation to get guidance. Prohibited Goods Prohibited goods are those goods for which importation and exportation have been completely banned for reasons linked to health, environment, protection of endangered species of flora and fauna, security, legislation etc. These items shall be liable to forfeiture and the person may be liable to a penalty Restricted Goods Restricted/controlled goods may be imported or exported provided the importer or exporter has the necessary authorization/permits. Prohibited Goods
