Define how much are you going to take → $1000
Define the time you are going to stay → 6 weeks
Before leaving
Basic 1st week →Cab, Food ,snacks, transport, toilet paper, soap, shampoo → $150
Emergency money → Buffer money → $220

Paper in your wallet (track your finances)
Pass it in a excel sheet and divide according the item (Food, transportation, clothes, cell, fun, cleaning and internet)
Analyze after two weeks how did your finances go.

Describe your basic expenses for one week.
Now add the expenses you will have if you’ld live by yourself.
Now give them a price according to Kenyan reality
Sum it all up What’s the total?? Surprising? Get rid off the things you don’t really
need. Sum again! More affordable?? Keep doing it until you think is
affordable. Now this is the money you need to take
with you to your exchange.
