What is Prediction?
A prediction is a forecast. It is a statement about what you think will happen in the future. People who predict the future well are sometimes said to be psychic. But we all make predictions about the future, with more or less success. We confidently predict the sun will rise tomorrow, that ice will be cold, etc. But maybe we're not quite as good at predicting the future as we think.

The simple future is a verb tense that’s used to talk about things that haven’t happened yet. Use thesimple future to talk about an action or condition that will begin and end in the future.
Future Tense – will vs going to
Will + infinitive Be going to + infinitive
A decision at the moment of speaking:Julie: There's no milk.John: Really? In that case, I'll go and get some.
A decision before the moment of speaking:Julie: There's no milk.John: I know. I'm going to go and get some when this TV program finishes.
A prediction based on opinion:
I think the Conservatives will win the next election.
A prediction based on something we can see (or hear) now:
The Conservatives are going to win the election. They already have most of the votes.
A future fact:The sun will rise tomorrow.
