• Open Lab Manager• Search for COMP2071-WinServers• Clone to your workspace and we will begin

Dameware• Go to BB -> Course Documents -> Week 5• Grab a partner• Download Dameware package• Run Install on only one of your machines• Open• Settings:• Remote Settings• Install Options• Encryption options

• Get IP of one of your partners system• Enter into Host box and hit OK on prompt• Change credential to Windows NT

Challenge/Response• Check box for “use current credentials”• Connect• Your partner will receive messages about

installation, lets discuss• You are now connected, take a look around…

PSTools• Go to BB -> Course Documents -> Week 5• Download PSTools package• Unpack into a folder on the machines desktop• Copy all the .exe files• Open windows explorer• as admin in Windows 7, right click start menu and

open as administrator• Go into C:\Windows\System32• Paste the .exe files into this folder• Do this on both your PCs

• Open start menu• Right click cmd prompt and run as administrator• Type in PSInfo and hit enter• Accept the prompt• Once each command is run once the accept

button will go away• The cmd window now shows your server info• Let’s talk commands, review help file…
