• Define what you want your students to learn as a result of the lesson

• Helps you to come up with a sequence of activities to teach the lesson

Eg. Story of Abraham offering Isaac

Objective-To learn how complete trust and obedience in God can help us overcome difficulties in life and lead us to blessings

Pre-Lesson Activities• Very important part of planning ~to start the lesson~to engage the students into the lesson~to help students make connections between their lives and Bible ~that can be a series of questions, a scenario, a game, or a song

Eg. Abraham and Isaac loved God and lived in complete obedience to God. As a result, they were blessed by God. We should also obey and love God like them.
