    SYNOPSIS

    The

    Design

    Project

    course

    is

    the

    pinnacle of

    the

    Chemical

    Engineering

    program.

    Students

    are required

    to

    carry

    out a

    project on

    related

    topic

    to chemical

    engineering.

    Although

    this course

    is

    designed

    as

    a

    team

    work,

    much

    emphasis

    is

    given to the

    individual

    effort

    in

    carrying

    out

    of the

    task.

    This

    course

    focuses

    on the

    literature

    study

    of

    the

    project including

    process background,

    market

    analysis,

    site

    selection,

    environmental

    safety

    consideration,

    detailed

    mass

    energy

    balances

    and

    process

    simulation

    OBJECTIVES

    Upon

    completion

    of this

    course,

    students

    should

    be able

    to:

    of

    a

    chemical

    engineering

    design

    project.

    METHODS

    OF

    INSTRUCTION

    Students

    will

    proceed
