Contextual learning: Connect the lesson to what they see in every day’s life (car,

telephone, camera)

Language contents:

Nouns- car, telephone, camera. Possesive pronouns- his, hers, theirs.

Anticipated problems: Learners may have difficulty in understanding some of the

vocabulary used in the teaching and learning.

Possible solution:

1)Use simple instructions and use gestures or demonstrations to help learners understand

better.

2) Use teaching aid such as ICT to enhance teaching and learning.

5. Teacher shows the examples of “Possessive Pronouns-his,hers and theirs”.

6. Teacher asks pupils to read aloud the sentences.

7. Teacher reads aloud the sentences followed by pupils.

- To give an idea about possessive pronouns.

Practice(20minutes)

Song: Whose puppy is it?

Change the song to: hand phone, car.

8. Teacher asks pupils to listen again to the song/video clip.

9. Teacher shows the lyric with some blanks in it.

10. Teacher asks the pupils to change the lyric given.

11. Teacher asks pupils to sing according to the lyric that they have changed.

- Enable pupils to practice the usage of his, hers and theirs.

Production(21 minutes)

Exercise. 12. Teacher distributes a task sheet to each pupils

13. Pupils completed the task sheet given within the time allocated.

14. Teacher discusses the answer with pupils.

- To test pupils’ understanding of what has been taught.
