Chris Haase
Chris Haase (Office) received the $750 bonus
from the Referral Incentive Program! He referred
someone to Jasper Rubber and this person has
been employed here for 9 consecutive months.
Enjoy your bonus!
You can participate! It is easy! This is how it works:
Complete a referral form
Attach the referral incentive form to your referral’s application (applicant must be someone who
has not applied at Jasper Rubber within the past 12 months)
Turn the referral incentive form and application into Human Resources.
Human Resources will interview the person who is referred and consider the applicant for
employment through our normal hiring process.
If the applicant is hired and completes nine (9) consecutive months of employment; $750.00 is
paid to the employee owner who made the referral.
In order to receive each monetary reward, you must complete a Referral Incentive Claim Form and
submit to Human Resources.
Thank you to all employee owners who turned in the referrals for the September promotion! Gift
cards were awarded to all employee owners who referred someone to Jasper Rubber and they were
successfully hired at Jasper Rubber. When the referred employee works 12 consecutive months,
the employee owner who referred them will receive an additional $950 bonus.

Removing an Absence Unit From Attendance Record
Effective 10-1-17, Employee Owners who work their full scheduled week (Sunday thru Saturday) will have a quarter (1/4) absence unit removed from their attendance record. The following absences are accepted and considered a perfect attendance week to remove an absence unit:
• Approved vacation, personal day, holiday, jury or witness duty, paid funeral days,
Emergency Responder duty; worker’s comp leave, and
• Approved unpaid FMLA leave, inclement weather days, military leave, or other absences
or leaves requested in writing and approved by Company Management.
Dr. Dohanich From IMED Tours Jasper Rubber
On Thursday, 9-14-17 Dr. Dohanich from IMED toured various departments with Reva Baker, VP of Human Resources. Dr. Dohanich, who is taking the place of Dr. Waflart at IMED, was shown jobs performed by employee owners to help familiarize him with job functions, ergonomics, and the work environment.
The tour was a perfect opportunity for Dr. Dohanich to gain knowledge of our work environment and employee owner’s job responsibilities. We appreciate his dedication to our Employee Owners by taking the time to familiarize himself with production jobs here at Jasper Rubber and understanding job responsibilities should a work related accident occur which requires medical attention.
If you know of a safety concern, please immediately report it to your Department Manager, Supervisor or Human Resources. It is each employee owner’s responsibility to make safety a top priority each and every day!
SAFETY COMES FIRST!

ANNUAL FIRE DEPARTMENT TOUR By Reva Baker, VP Human Resources
On Thursday, October 5th 2017 at 8:00 p.m. we have scheduled our annual fire department tour at
Jasper Rubber. Every year Fire Chief Kenny Hochgesang and the Volunteer Fire Department visits our plants to familiarize themselves with the exits, confined space areas, aisle ways, shut off controls for electricity and chemicals, location of our equipment, and any building changes that may have been made since last year.
Approximately 35 fire fighters will walk through the facilities on 2nd
shift on Thursday evening to tour our facilities with Scott Ferguson and Joe Jones from our Maintenance department. We appreciate the volunteer fire department and their assistance at Jasper Rubber.

The 6 Dimensions of Wellness are: Spiritual, Physical, Emotional, Occupational, Intellectual, Social
Jasper Rubber’s Wellness Mission Statement:
“Encouraging activities that give employees what they need to develop
healthier habits at the workplace and at home.”

It’s All About the H2O
Did you know that your body weight is approximately 60 % H2O? Your body uses H2O in all of its
cells, organs and tissues to help regulate its temperature and maintain other bodily functions. Your
body loses H2O through sweating, breathing, and digestion. It is very important to rehydrate by
drinking plenty of fluids and eating foods that contain H2O. The amount of H2O a person needs
depends on many factors such as physical activity, climate you live in, and health issues.
1. H2O protects your tissues, spinal cord, and joints.
2. H2O helps your body remove waste.
3. H2O aids in digestion.
4. H2O helps you from becoming dehydrated.
Not a big fan of H2O? Here are some ideas to make H2O more enjoyable.
1. Add fresh fruit
2. Use juice
3. Drink tea
4. Add sugar-free drink mixes
