• Students did not create posts!– 11% of students posted
• Students did read posts, however!– 58% read at least one post– 10.4 views for each post
• Students used our LibGuide!– LibGuide visits doubled and database clicks tripled
over previous year
Student outcomes
• Citations– Of the almost 50% who had no citation errors,
65% read at least one post– 28% of students had major citation errors – less
than 20% read any posts• Grades– More A grades and less D grades than the previous
year
Strategies for collaborative partnerships
• Work with faculty:– With whom you have an established relationship– Who create opportunities within the course– Allow access to the entire course
• Effective partnerships:• Trust, communication, shared goal(s) • A “genuine partnership”• Go beyond traditional faculty/librarian roles -- faculty in
librarian “space” and vice versa
