Couples for Christ ANCOP – West Cc/o Mr. Lito Uy

Dear Titos’ and Titas,’

“The kindly man will be blessed, for he gives of his sustenance to the poor.” (Proverbs 22:9)

I am Christian Czar M. Manansala from San Nicolas, Masantol, Pampanga. I am the eldest on the children of Cezar Manansala and Carmelita Mendoza. Both of my parents were not able to finish schooling because of their family’s financial instability. Also, both of them now were old already and were unable to find work to sustain our financial needs. At present, my younger sister was the one supporting all the necessities in our family.

I spent my childhood days in Pampanga and lived a simple life together with my parents and two siblings. I learned about God through the catechism of my father and I felt the love of God through my mother’s care. I deepened my spirituality through frequent prayers even since I learned how to pray. My parish became another avenue for me to strengthen and deepen my faith to God which eventually led me enter the seminary in Pampanga, the Mother of Good Counsel Seminary. After graduating from this seminary, I worked for almost seven years in an outsourcing company in Makati City. While working, I developed the sense of responsibility and the value of time. But my heart was restless even though I was earning a living so I decided to enter another seminary. I was admitted in a Franciscan seminary where I had a year of formation as a pre-postulant. In this seminary, I saw, appreciated and developed so many things in my life like the value of a deep brotherhood, deep and ample time for prayer and meditation, love for Mother Nature and a simple life style. More than these values, I heard God speaking in my heart as if He is calling me to a life of service in a diocese. The deepest longing of my heart is to serve more people where I can do in a diocesan service.

The next stage of my vocation will be a Theology formation where I can almost reach my goal of becoming a priest. Even though my younger sister was the one supporting my family now but she can’t support anymore my financial needs in the seminary. My younger sister has already two children which she also supports and takes care of. I am asking and appealing to your good hearts. I know God is directing me to you for a reason and purpose. God is working on every individual as it written in 1 Cor. 3:9 “For we are God’s co-workers; you are God’s field, God’s building.” May God, who sees every good deed, reward you and your whole family graces both temporal and spiritual.

I am hoping and praying for your positive response. Thank you and God bless you.

Your brother in Christ,

CHRISTIAN CZAR M. MANANSALA
