Letter from the President 2018Dear Brethren and Friends,
The Board of Directors of the Masonic Charity Foundation of Oklahoma is pleased to have the opportunity to guide charitable efforts on behalf of the Fraternity. In 2016, the Foundation distributed over $3.1 million in direct grants for the benefit of Oklahomans.
During 2016, the Foundation continued ongoing support of the Association of Area Agencies on Aging with a distribu-tion of $712,840 to provide services to senior citizens across Oklahoma. Since inception, this partnership has resulted in over $7 million in Masonic support to help Oklahoma’s elderly with small home repairs, meal delivery, and other services which help our elderly citizens remain in their homes as they age.
With the ongoing support of the Fraternity, Vizavance (formerly Prevent Blindness Oklahoma), has reached a pro-gramming milestone in providing over 4 million Oklahoma children with free vision screenings and referrals. Oklahoma Masons volunteer to assist with vision screenings, and since 1986 the Masonic Charity Foundation of Oklahoma has contributed $3,599,078 in financial support.
The Fraternity continues to demonstrate a passion for public education with a goal to become the first organization to place endowed funds at every publicly funded university and college in Oklahoma by 2018. In 2016, endowments of $50,000 each were placed at Rose State College and Eastern Oklahoma College.
Masonic charity means that we take care of our brothers and communities also, and we are so thankful for and proud of the support of our fantastic Oklahoma Masons and lodges in this effort. Through the Matching Funds and Promises Matter programs, lodges have dis-tributed over $3.2 million in charitable and educational funds assistance to community members and projects.
In 2016, the Fraternity proudly announced a new campaign to raise $1 million in endowed funds for the benefit of the Oklahoma Future Farmers of America (FFA) Foundation. With lodge and community support, we know this goal will be achieved.
The presence of lodges in communities across the state makes it possible for needs to be identified and addressed in a way that could not be done other-wise. Our special thanks go this year’s Masonry In Action Award honorees – Owasso Lodge 545 and Pilot Lodge 367 – for their exceptional participation in the charitable programs of the Masonic Charity Foundation of Oklahoma.

Grand Master Grigsby, Jr.Clarence William “Corky” Grigsby, Jr. and his wife, Nicolasa “Nickie” live in Altus, Oklahoma. Son Christopher is in the U.S. Army, and son Jeffrey is in the U.S. Navy. Brother Grigsby himself is retired from the U.S. Air Force and, subse-quently, from the Department of Defense Civil Service. In the latter position he managed a large tool and equipment operation, including a staff of 24 employees. He received an award for outstanding service with the security forces, was non-commissioned officer of the year in 1981, NCO Academy, was nominated for General Marduez Outstanding Main-tenance Award, and holds numerous decorations for military service.
He was Raised at Altus Lodge in 2004. He is a perpetual member of Altus Lodge and an active member of Yeldell Lodge, having served Altus Lodge as Worshipful Master in 2008 and as Treasurer in 2012 and 2013. He served Yeldell as Junior Deacon in 2010.
Brother Grigsby served the Grand Lodge as Grand Chaplain in 2012, 2013, and 2014. He served as District Deputy Grand Master in 2010 and 2011, and served on the Necrology Committee in 2013. He is a member of the Order of the Sacred White Buffalo and served as Chief of the Tribe in 2014. He is a “C” Certificate Lecturer and has completed the Grand
Lodge correspondence courses I, II, and III.
He is a member of the Guthrie Valley of the Scottish Rite, where he is Past Commander in the Council of Kadosh, Membership Chairman of Altus Lodge, and as a member of the 7°, 17°, and 27° teams. In the York Rite, he is a member of the Altus Chapter #60, Altus Council #33, and Elk City Commandery #22. He served as High Priest in 2012 and Illustrious Master in 2013. He belongs to India Shrine Temple and the “SWOKIES” motorized unit.
In other organizations, he served as President of the Windsong Home Owners Association, Team Leader in software research for the Air Force tool rooms, Loss Prevention Supervisor for Walmart, Inc., Senior Church Greeter, and much more.
Brother Grigsby said “I have a heartfelt desire to serve the Craft of Oklahoma in every way possible. I want to give back of myself to our gentle Fraternity that has given so much to me. My desire is to serve and continue the positive programs that our Trustees have established the past few years. I am retired and with God’s help and my family standing beside me, want to serve the Craft to the best of my ability. Let’s continue to “Go Back to Basics as Masons” and really be our Brothers and Widows Keepers, while striving to make Oklahoma Masonry highly visible in a positive light in every community in our great state. So Mote It Be.”

Roll of Honor / Memorials Donation OpportunitiesThe Foundation receives donations in several different ways. Some donors send money direct to the Masonic Charity Foundation of Oklahoma, P. O. Box 2406, Edmond, OK 73083. Donations are received in letters or Business Reply Envelopes for general donations, Memorials and Honorariums, etc. Also, online donations can be made on the www.mcfok.org website using a credit card or Pay Pal.
Gifts to the Foundation made by Will are a popular way of building tomorrow. The gift is given only when you have no further need for the money and there is no danger that you might “run short.” It is a perpetual gift as well, because the funds are invested and only the interest used to support the programs you have read about in these pages. Here is some suggested language to discuss with your lawyer when making a gift to the Foundation by Will:

RULES AND SPECIFICATIONS:
• Submit photos electronically by JULY 15, 2018 via email to [email protected] or compact disk/flash drive to Masonic Charity Foundation, PO Box 2406, Edmond, OK 73083.
• Files must be JPEG or TIF file format.
• 300 dpi
• Landscape orientation is preferred.
• Submit files with the largest size/resolution possible to allow high-quality enlargement and reproduction.
• A brief narrative accompanying each photo is recommended. Include: location/venue, names of individuals pictured, date, and event details.
• Photos, cds, and flash drives will not be returned. Submission of photo entries constitutes express permission for the Masonic Charity Foundation to reproduce and/or publish photos.
• Winners will be required to sign a release allowing winning photos to be published.
• Winning photos will be showcased in the Masonic Charity Foundation Annual Report calendar, at www.mcfok.org and on social media sites.
