Dear Mom,

How are you? Camp’s amazing!!! It’s still so hardfor me to get up when reveille sounds. It’s likeI want to throw something at the speaker whenI hear it go off, but that would require me beingawake! Sara threatens me with a squirt gun, whichusually does the trick to get me up and off to

morning lineup. Once I’m up, I’m really good.I’m starting some Arts & Crafts projects, whichare going to be amazing, by the way.

The girls in my cabin are Melman (you know Melman!),Sophie (loves vampires), Missi (loves cats), Jennyand Jamie (the girls who are really clique-y and

“omigod” each other a lot). My counselor is Saraagain (duh, I said that in my rst paragraph!),which is awesome. She seems upset and stuffabout personal things, but I think she’s gettingover it with our help.

One last thing, because I have to go to basketball:

I tell Melman everything, but I also have a newfriend named Bobby, and we talk about a lot ofstuff, too. He’s cute :). I love and miss you, Mom.Love to you and Lois Lane. She eating her seeds?

Camp isn’t as awesome as baseball camp, butit’s not as bad as I thought it would be beforeI left. I thought the guys in my bunk were weirdwhen I rst met them, since they have all thesechants they do, but I think they just really like

it here, so they sing about it a lot. It’s kind of acult. But whatever, you can’t be mad at me forthat, Mom, since you’re the one who signed meup. Don’t say Dad and I didn’t warn you.

I’m learning guitar from my counselor,Rick. And I’m singing while I play, too. I’ve hadsix lessons with him during Rest Hour, and hesays I’m getting better and better. Sometimeshe lets me practice instead of doing boringactivities.

I’m playing baseball twice a week here,

which is cool, but it’s not enough. I miss home.I hope you get everything worked out.
