• Level 4 NVQ Certificate in Business & Administration • Level 4 NVQ Diploma in Business & Administration (Please note that this is a credit-based qualification. The difference between the Certificate and Diploma is the size of the qualification, not the level of difficulty.)
Credits
You must achieve a minimum of 30 credits for the Certificate, or 39 credits for the Diploma, across a range of units
To achieve the qualification (Certificate)
You must achieve the following as a minimum: • 20 credits from Group A Mandatory Units • 10 credits (minimum) from Group B Optional Units • 20 credits at Level 4
To achieve the qualification (Diploma)
You must achieve the following as a minimum: • 20 credits from Group A Mandatory Units • 19 credits (minimum) from Group B Optional Units • 27 credits at Level 4
Who is it for?
People who have some responsibility for supervising staff and for implementing and monitoring administrative functions and services in the public or private sector (eg office managers, administration team leaders, personal assistants, business development executives).
How is it delivered and assessed?
• This is a competence-based qualification and can be delivered and
assessed in a style to suit you. • We will agree suitable times to observe you in your role and
assessment methods will be agreed with you at the outset. • If required, we can deliver workshops off site or in the work
environment to accommodate your specific needs. • This qualification is internally assessed and quality assured by
Catalyst QA staff, and externally quality assured by Edexcel.

Level 4 NVQ Qualifications in Business & Administration
What are the entry requirements?
• You need to be aged 16 or over. • You must be in a job role that can support achievement of the
learning outcomes for the units selected.
How long will it take?
• Until the relevant learning outcomes and assessment criteria have
been achieved - typically 3 to 9 months. • Timescales will be agreed at the outset.
How will I be supported?
Your assessor is available to support you in person, by phone, and by email.
How much does it cost?
