Sparkling Mother’s Day BraceletBy Jane Kharade

Create a little sparkle for Mum on Mother’s Day with this stunning bracelet. For this project, we’re stamping ‘Mum’ onto two polished silver discs, so why not add one to the bracelet as a lovely design feature, and use the other as a pendant for a matching set?

Step 4Attaching the crystals

Open the jump rings on the bracelet with the flat nosed pliers and attach each of the crystals one by one, being careful to close the jump ring tightly. Arrange the crystals in an alternating pattern, beginning with a small Xirius crystal and ending with a small Xirius crystal.

Step 6To finish

Attach one of the ‘Mum’ tags to a fine ball chain via a 6mm jump ring. Thread a 6mm jump ring onto the other ‘Mum’ tag and attach this to the end of the bracelet to complete the look.

Step 5Mum’s the word

Now to stamp out the word ‘Mum’ on two silver discs. Firstly, mark out the vertical centre point on the disc with a fine permanent marker.

Tip: Anchor the silver disc to the metal block using a sheet of light card and double sided tape.

Butt the letter punch up to the side of the card and use this as a guide to keep the lettering straight. Always start by stamping out the middle letter first, then add the letters either side. Finish by rubbing ImpressArt stamping enamel ink over the lettering to create a dark contrast, and remove the excess ink on the surface of the discs using a cloth.

Step 3Working on both ends

Add a 5mm jump ring and lobster clasp to one end of the bracelet and a 6mm jump ring to the other end. Make sure these jump rings are securely closed.

Step 1In a pinch

Use both the round nose pliers and flat nose pliers to open the pinch bails. Position the Xirius crystals between the posts of the pinch bails and gently close the bails, taking care not to damage any of the crystals as you do so.

Step 2 Attaching the jump rings

Evenly space seven 6mm jump rings along a length of silver curb chain. Close the jump rings just enough to prevent them working their way off the bracelet.
