ABOUT LALA LAJPATRAI COLLEGE

Lala Lajpatrai College was established in 1972 and developed as one of the leading educational institutions in Mumbai having NAAC Re-accreditation with grade 'A'. The college runs various courses in Junior and Senior section to augment the needs of the society. The courses covered are B.Com, BMS, BBI, BAF, B.Sc. IT, BMM, M.Com. It also conducts vocational courses.

The college has an active Placement Cell, Research Cell, U.G.C Network Resource Centre, Career and Counseling Cell. The library is being developed as a 'Learning & Research Centre'. It is automated with SOUL software for smooth and quick services. The library undertook the task of digitization of institutional publication, syllabus, Question Papers and photographs etc.

The College promotes extra-curricular activities also. The college believes that education is more than just academics. In this endeavour the institution aims at inculcating a winning attitude and empowering students with necessary skills to face the challenges of an ever changing world. Shri Jagdish Prasad Jhabarmal Tibrewala University came into its pious existence in 2009. The University has been marching ahead on its uphill journey since its inception. About the ConferenceVision 2020, the main theme of the conference is intended to explore the likely avenues and the pathways available to the Indian economy to capitalize on the new trends & developments taking place continuously in the ever-changing, dynamic business environment, whereby the Indian economy can use the modern tools & techniques thrown up by the emerging trends across the whole spectrum of industries & sectors to achieve a significantly exponential growth rate – 'double digits' instead of the past average growth achieved thus far.

With the introduction of 'Make in India' initiative, and the recent example of the successful launch of the program in the State of Maharashtra with the Make in India week, whereby State of Maharashtra alone has been able to garner investment worth Rs.7.94 lakh crores by way of 2,594 MOUs, across diverse sectors, including manufacturing, agro-industry, textile, energy, infrastructure retail, tourism, real estate, IT parks, skill development, medical and MSMS, it is for the Industry stalwarts to take advantage of the opportunities thrown up by this major initiative of the government to accelerate the contribution to the GDP.
