    Survey

    Official Poverty Rate decreased from 15.0 % to 14.5%

    45.3 million people in poverty

    Poverty rate for children decreased from 21.8% to 19.9%

    Increase in the number of people working full time yeararound.

    Median household income was $51,939 , 8.0% lower than

    2007 Poverty rate and the number in poverty for Hispanics fell.

    housing

    37.7% of adults 25 and older have earned an Associates

    degree or higher.
