Why?• All the same reasons as surveys• Sometimes easier to keep them short – get more responses• Poll or survey your stock plan contacts to find out how they

accomplish a particular function or task• Identify areas for staff training – give little quizzes to identify

weaker areas

Tips for Surveys & Polls

Keep them short• Skip logic can really help here

• Add skip logic after you’ve defined ALL your questions

Make them CLEAR• Data is no good if the questions aren’t understood• Have other, non-equity folks review your questions• Export to word processing program and spell check

How do you get responses?• Offer a prize drawing for those who participate

• You’d be surprised how motivating a $15 coffee card can be…

• Send out reminders – at least a couple
