Your WAP Annual State Plan Development

It is critically important that as part of any new DOE WAP funded/supported leveraging project,

the Leveraging Project narrative and budget must be written into the “DOE

State Plan” submitted once a year to DOE for review and approval.

Start When You Get Home

• The development process for annual State Plan is typically underway by early January

• time is of the essence for any state’s 2012-13 DOE WAP State Plan to include a Leveraging Plan

• Developing leveraging and partnership strategies should be a thoughtful process.

• A plan must have information specific to your organization, your goals, and Proof of your ability to oversee such leveraging

goals/projects you may visualize

• Think thru/write down desired outcomes• Identify your service demographics• ID opportunities/advantages for all stakeholders • Invest time in developing/updating references/data
