Elegant pendant and free standing luminaires for office environments

Levit is available in grey, black or white, with single or double head. It comes with 2 energy-efficient 28 W compact fluo-rescent tubes. A 2x80 W version is also available. Levit can be equipped with sen-sors for further energy-saving. Free stand-ing luminaires are easy to install and move around, and provide maximum flexibility when remodeling the office lay-out.

A completely new feature is the optional addition of two 4W LED modules at the front end of the light head, providing an asymmetric spot, or task light, functionality. The combination of the efficient 28 W compact fluorescent tubes and the high-power LEDs means that Levit provides the most energy-efficient work surface illumination.

Our new family of office luminaires combines energy-efficient features with excellent light output and good design features. The name is Levit. We offer a selection of pendant and free standing luminaires, all with the same characteristic design features.

Levit is designed by Vesa Honkonen in cooperation with our R&D department. This time the renowned Finnish architect and designer has created a family of attractive and functional product with unique light distribution, providing a totally new lighting experience in office environments.

There are several free standing models available. All are dimmable, with 40/60 or 20/80 light distribution. The light is transmitted through a thick acrylic plate, providing unique light distribution and pleasing effects.

Levit pendant is available with a 4W LED module at each end, which adds to the design and functionality of the luminaire.

Levit pendant appears to be floating in the room; a hovering sculpture of light with impressive lighting functionality, and an almost even 50/50 upward and downward light distribution. Some of the light is also transmitted sideways through the thick acrylic plate, providing unusual and pleasing effects.

The pendant versions have the same design features as the free standing models, and are indeed “top of the line” pendant luminaires for office environments, meeting rooms information counters, etc. Standard colours are black, white and silver grey.

Levit pendant is constructed of the finest materials, with a glossy powder coated finish, high quality acrylic, aluminium reflectors and microprismatic optics. All versions are equipped with two T5 fluorescent tubes of 28, 35, 49, 54 or 80W. A dust protection cover is available with the low wattage versions. All versions can be equipped with dimming and sensors, and are available for continuous mounting. The quick adjustable wire suspension means easy installation and flexibility when remodeling.

Helsinki-based architect Vesa Honkonen is active in the fields of international architecture, lighting and interior design. He is a professor at the University College of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm. Honkonen’s projects vary from large scale urban lighting and interior lighting commissions to interior design, public buildings, family homes and lighting fixture design.

Levit’s high quality microprismatic optics is an important feature. It contributes to the luminaire’s high efficiency. It also makes for excellent low glare light output, thanks to the quality of the prismatic structure of the microprismatic material.

The high quality transparent acrylic optic has a transmittance of 92%. It is made from a large number of prisms, carefully calculated to direct the light at exactly the right angles needed to avoid unwanted glare.

In an open plan office it is possible to move work stations around, without risking disturbing reflections in computer screens.
