Generating an On-the-Spot Report

Simply select a topic, a subtopic and the category (status) you’d like to view.

The most heavily monitored legislative and regulatory topics within an industry are contained within each module.

Quickly gain an on-the-spot national overview of current session and recent regulations and legislation (pending and/or enacted)

Legislative and Regulatory Reports - Map View


Here we see the states in which legislation has passed, failed or is pending.

Hover over the state with your mouse for a quick view of what action is taking place in that state.

Click on the state for a summary report of activity in that state. (Click on the small US map for federal activity.)

Click View Report for All to get a summary of all state and federal activity.

Benefit: ONE PLACE to view all regulatory and legislative activity for the current session.

Report View


These summaries contain a wealth of information about the regulation, with key portions of the regulation/legislation called out in easy-to-scan headings .

Notice the Effective Date, a key piece of information, along with penalties and related citations.

There is a shorter summary for quick readings and a full summary for all enacted legislation and adopted regulations.

Benefit: The comprehensive but concise summaries help compliance professionals understand the new laws/regulations and quickly determine the impact on the business, saving hours of time. The effective dates and penalties quickly call out when you’ll need to be in compliance and the penalties for noncompliance.

History and Full Text of Bills and Regulations


It’s easy to jump right to the full text of the legislation or regulation, along with the history.

Simply click on the hyperlinked leg/reg number and the bill/regulation history with links to the full text of all versions appears.

Then, link to the version of the bill/regulation you want to see.

The bills and regulations are redlined so that you can easily identify changes from the previous version.

Benefit: Within the summary report, you can quickly link to the history, and also to any version of the bill/regulation. A redline version (showing changes form the previous version) allows you to quickly see what changes have occurred since the prior version.

Setting up an E-mail Alert

Another way to use the product is by setting up an email alert so that you never miss a new law or regulation - you’ll get only relevant results delivered to you, minimizing the effort and time you need to invest.

Simply click the big red button that says Sign up for email alerts.

Input your email address.

Select whether you want to receive updates on regulations or legislation and click Submit.

Type in the name of the you would like to appear on the e-mail.

Select if you’d like to monitor only proposed or only adopted legislation/ regulations – or both.

Select how frequently you’d like to receive alerts and the e-mail format.

Setting up an E-mail Alert – Selecting State and Topics


It’s easy to monitor as many or as few states or topics as you’d like (see instructions on the top of the screen).

Just hold the control button and click on the states you want to select or select all at the top.

Repeat the same process for the topics you wish to select. Selecting an UPPERCASE topic selects all of the sub-topics below.

Then click Submit at the bottom! Here you can verify or change any of your preferences.

Benefit: By having all new or changed legislation and regulations delivered right to you inbox helps reduce the worry about “missing something” or being caught off guard by new law again.

If there is a bill you are tracking and want to find quick status on it or get the full text of it, simply type the bill number into this ‘bill lookup box’ (e.g. AZ2324).

The bill/regulation history will appear, along with links to the full text of each version.
