This year, the Festival runs from 15 to 25 July, a little later thannormal in order to avoid clashing with the World Cup.

We have a selection of high quality events, often showcasing localtalent, and covering dance, drama, film, literature, music, and poetry.

The News From Nowhere Club lecture: Libby Horner talkson Frank BrangwynFrank Brangwyn (1867 – 1956) was arguably the first British artistto gain an international reputation and certainly the first livingartist to be honoured with a retrospective at the Royal Academy.He worked briefly for William Morris, and received commissionsfrom Siegfried Bing and Tiffany.
