Libas Textiles Ltd. is a comparatively newer establishment

which has started production in 2007 a Composite Knitting, Dyeing and

Garments factory located at Nichintopur, Mouchak, Kaliakar,

Gazipur district about 35 km north of Dhaka beside the Dhaka- North Bengal highway

Founded by Engr. Md. Towhidur Rahman a C.I.P.(Commercial Important Person), Chairman and Managing Director

He is also Director of Shahjalal Islami Bank and Takaful Insurance, Shahjalal securities and member of Prime University.

Costs: Magnets were re-used from another device. Actual price of a magnetic device is normally Tk 100,000.

Implemented Measures Elimination of Water Leaks Elimination of water leaks in taps and pipes

This is a continuous process, which is now more regularly checked throughout the operation.

Proposed Measures

Reduce steam losses from traps & leakages:Replace or maintain the steam traps and optimizing the steam system to reduce

steam lossPossible savings: BDT 1,622,000/= per year Minimize washing and rinsing operations:Reduce number of overflow rinses and reducing amount of water per overflow rinse.Possible savings: BDT 1,723,000/= per year Reuse of cleaning water of solution preparation tanksDyes & chemical solution dosing tanks cleaning water will be sent back to the machinePossible savings: BDT 54,000/= per year Restrain hose pipe use:Create a central place for water boiling and sample washing by taking off all hose pipe

available in the machines.Possible savings from water loss: BDT 25,500/= per year, cost of heating also will be

saved.

Effluent Treatment Plant

Wastewater treated through aerobic biological treatment;

Size of the ETP is 14,000 Sft; ETP is equipped with a PLC system; Discharged water is meeting the DOE water

quality standards;
