Liberty are a leading financial services group who, in 14 countries across the African continent, collectively roll-up their sleeves every day and put their knowledge and insight to work to make a difference in their customer’s lives. Liberty provide investment, insurance and health offerings to individuals and businesses, predominantly thorough a network of Financial Advisors. A major challenge for these Financial Advisors was that there was no central data repository of a customer’s portfolio as the information is held at each Insurer. Furthermore, no financial information was available for a customer making the advisory role increasing difficult to perform. Liberty required Mint to develop a custom solution to allow Financial Advisors to access a central database of a customer’s portfolio, and financial information to allow for more efficient administration and improved customer service.

Sales Requirements

Liberty required a system there Financial Advisors could have a 360 degree view of a customer to be able to identify what product they have and provides the customers financial overview (opt in basis). The FA could then identify gaps in the customer portfolio (opportunities for new products). The Solution would not be limited to Liberty Financial Advisors only. Mint started by developing a “Wow Portal” to create a new experience for FA’s – never before seen, with a new design, look and feel. Mint project scope was extended and Mint ended up implementing a “Financial universe” call “full view”. Mint’s solution integrated data from Liberty and other Financial Services Vendors into a central system.
