Library and Knowledge Services• Where are the libraries at Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals?• When are they open?
There are two libraries one on each of site• At Castle Hill Hospital the library is next door to the Nightingales
Restaurant• At Hull Royal Infirmary the library is situated upstairs in the Medical
Education Centre.Opening hours are:
Monday to Friday 08:00 to 16:00 hours24/7 access is available (chargeable) but you must be a registered user..

Is there space to study?• Study space is available in both librariesDo you offer access to PCs?• PCs are available in both libraries however you
will need a Trust username and password.• Both libraries have several ‘cyber’ PCs
available for checking emails and the internet which do not need a username or password.

How many books may I borrow?How long may I keep them?• Full members – 10 • Associate members – 5• For 4 weeks – you may renew up to 3 (three)
times provided no-one else has requested the item.
• Renew by email, telephone, online using your membership number and PIN or in person.

How can I access the books, journals and databases I need?• Library catalogue http://
heynhs.soutron.net/Library/Catalogues/Search.aspx• A request and document supply service is available• NICE Evidence Search • NHS OpenAthens – you require a username and password.
An NHS OpenAthens account gives you access to resources purchased locally, regionally and nationally. These resources are available to you 24 hours a day either at work or at home. You can self-register or update your NHS OpenAthens account via NHS Evidence ask for assistance.
