LansweeperLicense Dashboard have partnered with Lansweeper to provide a full end to end discovery technology that covers all platforms, this integrates with License Manager and can be scheduled to collect data on any frequency.

Users can schedule a full network scan by IP range and set critical servers to be scanned every hour or use active scanning and integrate active directory to continuously keep your inventory up to date. Configure scanning just the way you want it to be. One agent based scanning method is available, using it is completely optional. All other Lansweeper scanning methods do not require agents on your machines.





License Dashboard Portal LD Web API

License Dashboard have introduced its own API to support its customers to maximize the data encapsulated across the License Dashboard technology platform. License Dashboard Web API provides a standard interface for organizations to retrieve valuable data stored within License Manager and share with other business critical systems.

The retrieved data can be displayed in any third party system that can include ITSM, CMDB such as ServiceNow and standalone inventories. LD Web API is designed so that it is accessible locally and across the internet through secure publishing, ensuring that the data can be accessed securely through any remote system by opening the ‘back door’ of License Manager, we grant access for third party systems to access and call the relevant data in order to consume, centralize and view in the desired platform.

Single tenant mode has authentication disables, and has a single connection to one License Manager database. To summarize our approach to ITAM – We want to ensure we use what we own and own what we use. Whilst we believe we are in good shape on both counts, it has historically been a very manual and resource intensive process to understand our license position across many vendors and to really understand what is being used. So the introduction of a toolset was really about making the ongoing lifecycle of Software Asset Management much simpler, efficient and effective.

We undertook a very in-depth analysis of the market, comparing five different SAM tool vendors. Whilst we found that nearly all the partners were mature in their approach, and all of them were dealing with the rising challenge of managing new licensing models as a result of cloud; there are a couple of key areas which we believe License Dashboard really stood apart for us -
