What is a PA Migration?•A migration is the movement or transfer of some or all licenses from one site/agreement to another within a customer's “Enterprise”

•All sites under the Agreement share common anniversary date, price level and belong to the same Enterprise

Basic Requirements for PA Migration

•Approval from Primary Contact of the Source Site*

•Approval from Primary Contact of the Target Site*

•Both Sites must belong to the same Enterprise (as per IPAA definition = under common ownership over 50%)

*Note: Approvals MUST be provided through the Migration Forms

Migration Forms – Main PA forms•1. WW Transfer Form Within Enterprise Form•From single PA or PAE site to PAE or to a single PA site under existing PA agreement.

•2. WW PA License Migration & Consolidation Request Form•From single site PA, PAE to a PA site under new agreement (Do NOT use if target PA Site/agreement already exists and is active (use Form 1 for PA/PAE source site or Form 4 in the PA wiki for FCT source Site)•Multiple sites , PA, PAE and/or FCT to a NEW PA site under new or existing agreement (Only to be used for FCT site, in a multiple source sites scenario, otherwise use form FCT to PA form, number 4 in the wiki)

•3. WW Divestiture Letter•Company A is selling a division to Company B, or Company A is spinning off a division as a separate standalone entity which will then be outside Company A's Enterprise

Things to consider!

•If a site or partial licenses are being migrated into another site the target site will have a different ICN.•PMR's are not automatically migrated to a new ICN.•PMR's linked to the old ICN should be continued via phone support and are no longer assessable within the SR tool.

•PMR work around•Close out all open PMR's before migration•Copy PMR history before migration•Ask call center to migrate PMR to new ICN

•The target site will be responsible for any SW renewals

•The sites (either PA or PAE) must be an active•Note: Products being migrated can be expired

•The source site drives the migration request

•Primary contact approvals are needed for sites involved in migration request (as shown in FastPass).

•Migrations should not be used in lieu of a credit and rebill
