The Kill it! Cook it! Eat it! TV chef, Rachel Green, is back by popular demand and will present a series of cookery demonstrations at Tippers. Seats will be allocated on a first come, first seated basis. There will also be a selection of food producers’ stalls to browse throughout the Kitchen Showroom on Saturday.

Christine Wallace Charity Baking Demo Cakeydora, Upper St John StreetSaturday at 11am, ticketed event – suggested £5 donation to charity Christine Wallace, quarter finalist in last year’s Great British Bake Off, will be demonstrating baking at the Cakeydora Baking Academy. Tickets are limited, please call 07932 595510 to check availability.

Henckels Knives.

1pm – Richard Turner Head chef from Michelin starred Turner’s

Restaurant in Birmingham.

Lichfield Food Festival Market Market Square and beyondSaturday, 9am to 5pmSunday, 10am to 4pmFree entry Taking place on Lichfield’s Market Square, the special gathering will also extend to surrounding streets and through Three Spires Shopping Centre. Organised by Lichfield City Council, and featuring Central England Co-operative, the weekend market is set to bring passionately produced food from across the region and a wide range of goods to Lichfield. From jams and pickles, to a hog roast and handmade cakes, there will be plenty to make your mouth water!

Market crafty activity: Make and decorate a sweetie box and fill it with sweets on Sunday from 10am to 3.30pm. £2.50 per sweetie box.

Equipment & Foodie DemonstrationsThe Kitchen Shop & The George HotelSaturday & Sunday, 10am to 4pmFree entry QVC and Ideal World TV presenter, Mal Harradine, will present a series of fun cookery demonstrations at The Kitchen Shop on Lichfield’s Market Street. He will be showcasing top brands such as Le Creuset and a range of his favourite gadgets in the shop window!

The George Hotel on Bird Street is presenting ‘Foodie Demonstrations’ that will showcase The Kitchen Shop’s top suppliers, including KitchenAid, Joseph Joseph, Netherton Foundry, Kuhn Rikon, Sodastream and more. You will also find a range of quality food and drink stalls and I.O.Shen Knives will offer a charity knife sharpening service for £2 a knife.

Exclusive festival deals will be offered at both venues over the weekend.

As part of the Ale & Wine and World Menu trails, many eating and drinking establishments across the city will offer diners set menus for £10 and a glass of wine or ale for £3. From Ego and Chandlers Bar and Restaurant, to Malt and Le Reve,there are a wide range of bars and restaurants on both of the trails.

Baking CompetitionThree Spires Shopping CentreSunday, sign in from 12 noon to 1pm, cakes on display from 1pm to 3pm, winners announced at 4pm This year we’re challenging amateur bakers to make the top tier of a wedding cake or six wedding cupcakes.

We’re also asking younger bakers to enter four Cinderella themed cupcakes. The cakes will be judged by Julie Crisp, owner of the Lichfield Baking Academy – Cakeydora.
