How to live in the Spirit?

Romans 8:35-39 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?

[36] As it is written: "For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.“

[37] No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

[38] For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers,

[39] neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

What might be examples of these things in today’s world, in our culture?

troubles : financial, health, family…

danger : accidents, being in a scary part of town…

demons : spiritual opposition…

future : worry about what might happen, our children’s future…

sword : being arrack by evil men…

famine, nakedness : economic down turn affecting our finances, job hunting, job loss…

Romans 8:37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

Romans 8:26-30 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.

As a Child of God you don’t feel enslaved by fleshly

decisions influenced by God's Spirit prompting you

have a real sense of belonging to God … “God and you are not strangers”

actually you feel close enough to Him to talk to him about anything

hear from God through His Word

hear from God via Holy Spirit living within us

power to live victorious life

When you’re with God, you’re family
