Translating this into design will see the juxtaposition of simplicity and luxury where we see metallic shine finishes teamed with a combinationof different materials.

Evolution The future and what’s ahead of us brings us back to the beginning of time. Evolutionis all about finding better ways to protect and care for our world and its resources.Consumers are striving for more self-reliance and want to achieve an ultra-sustainablelifestyle. In order to achieve this, seek products with distinctive, individual featuresmarked by imperfection, not perfection. A new interest in crafts from the past is evolving, whilst a new organic look is also being created, where we share, barter, improvise, recycle and rethink.

This trend is invigorating and optimistic, where urban gardening, recycling and waterconservation provide a casual, yet confident look as we see collections of a varietyof textures, materials and surfaces ‘old and new’ combined. Different sizes of floorand wall tiles are key to this trend where natural finishes and natural structures providehomely comfort and are softened by cosy knits.

Origins Our fascination with nature and reconnecting with the unknown and unexpectedmeans that we start to value the precious imperfections of the earth’s textures, theconstant evolution of organic growth, the continuous change triggered by erosion,oxidation, natural distress and nature’s own self-destructive forces.

The Origins trend brings together the love of nature and natural products, yet at thesame time, we are still intrigued by the fact that man, the city and the economy arean integral part of our current ecosystem. We live in the next stage of nature and areinspired by products that have the earths dimension where layered properties embody this trend. Delicate structures add fluid femininity to this trend and whenteamed with discreet natural colours, create a diffused, relaxing and unstressed atmosphere.

We see natural tones mixed together with accents of copper, pewter and warm metallic to create ethereal spaces. Shimmer and oxidised surfaces bring a delicate approachto colour as we see the beautification of skin tones alongside luxurious amethyst and gold.

Clash With an ageing population and higher life expectancy, the relationship with grand-parents and grandchildren will influence a collection of old & new, handmade andtechnology. The reincarnation of old furniture with new finishes and collections ofvintage textiles and ceramics will evolve this trend, blending generations throughdesign. Handmade effect and spontaneity will bring more fun and whimsical designto interiors as patterns stop having to be the same. Have more fun with your interiorsand embrace an array of colours, prints and textures.

The juxtaposition of old and new is key where products are touched by time. We arealso inspired by Eastern and Mexican culture and crafts where we clash our materials, finishes and textures and stimulate the senses. Clashing sizes will alsoplay a key role as we explore how we create pattern with simple shapes.

White is the background base for a mash up of colour within the Clash trend ascolours are inspired by diverse sources. Red, Mocha, Cobalt and Old Rose are com-bined with grey and black as they provide an accent in this global mix of colour.

Here we see a range of harmonious neutral colours that fit perfectly together. Biscuit beige,off-white and taupe are highlighted with darker earthy tones of coffee and a metallic mosaicmix used in small touches to accent the lighter natural colours.

The colours are inspired by a mixture of earthy tones and embrace pea-cock, deep blue, cobalt and night blue. These colours are often seen as toneon tone and usually combined with a neutral palette of white, natural, beigeand grey. Be confident with a mix of textures and sizes.
