A Shining Example of Lighting Renovation SuccessFood Processing Lighting Renovation Produces 63% ROI WESCO’s Lighting Renovation Group created and implemented a plan to upgrade the lighting in a 70,000 square-foot food processing space. Approximately 180 400-watt probe-start metal halide hi-bay fixtures were replaced by 4-lamp configurations of T5 HO 49-watt gasketed food-grade T-bay fixtures. The facility experienced immediate improvements: the former Color Rendition Index (CRI) of 65 jumped to an impressive 85; the instant start of the new T-bay fixtures eliminated what used to be a 15-minute start time for the lamps; and the energy efficiency of the building jumped a dramatic 52%.The food processing company invested a total of $43,740 in the upgrade and achieved a 63% ROI payback in only 19 months! The five-year energy savings is projected to be over $137,000—an upgrade well worth the investment!

Lighting RenovationWESCO’s upgrade process provides solutions that fulfill our customers’ needs and generate desired and expected results. Listed below are the steps you and WESCO will complete together in a comprehensive Lighting Upgrade.
Five-Step Lighting Renovation ApproachOur specialists follow a simple, effective process: identify the initial opportunity scope, design the project, prepare a proposal, oversee the construction, and ensure the installed system performs as designed.
Lighting should not be viewed as a commodity
but instead as
an integral and flexible component
of a corporation’s operations.
Buildings account for 72% of all electricity consumption and contribute
to 38% of carbon dioxide emissions.
Each project will be custom and subject to rebates and incentives available at the time of the project implementation. Financial implications and solution recommendation will vary with each proposal, taking into account application and investment criteria per project.
