The difference between being important, and the restDo you really know, where the power lies in EYP? Who are the important ones, and who are those, who just claim to be? Well, these borders may be fluent for outstanding people. Everybody is working in a team, and everybody gives his best. So how to find a hierarchie in this group-system? Well, lets us do it ratio-nal and mathematically: people who are important, leave a lot of things for the people coming afterwards. So, the other way round, people who leave a lot for their descendents, are impor-tant, right? So, and that is the point where the power of the press steps in and wins. Who releases the most things during a sessi-

on? Is it the president? Or the chief? Far far away. The power lies by the press, because this press represents the most important group of the session...you fellow delegates. These pages may just seem a small part of the session for you, but for itself, you are everything. SO, use the chance and help creating these pages. We will have one week time, outstanding possibilities and endless adventures. ENJOY IT...AND SHARE IT!!!

But I‘m also very happy, that the first day went by so smoothly. In the beginning, a lot of people had fears and have been scared, when the first of you arrived. But fi-nally, after we all managed the first day of teambuilding, even the last delegation from Romania has arrived. And all of you presented yourself in a magnificant way during Eurovillage and the party afterwards was amazing. Ho-nestly, for the first night it was the best EYP-party I‘ve ever been to. And thank you very very much for your gre-at resonance for the first issue. I did not expected that, but i hope that it will stay that way. So help me with your participation. But now, as we are complete, let‘s get star-ted. Cross boarders, climb mountains, swim rivers, split oceans or simple: change the world. You can do so.

Rock On!!!!

Finally...(by Alex)

And finally they arrived ... Mesdames et Messieurs, Meine Damen und Herren, Ladies and Gentlemen,I have the pleasure to present you our Romanian Delegation!!!After a long journey through Europe, they arrived save in our beautiful and rainy Lille. Wel-come!Here is a short introduction of the delegation:The Romanian Delegation has an important historical and cultural background: the delegates are from three of the most important colleges of Iasi - Colegiul „Costache Negruzzi“, „Emil Racovita“ and Colegiul National Iasi. The city of Iasi has a historical importance: it is the se-cond biggest town in Romania; it is placed on 7 hills, just like Rome. Iasi is very popular for its culture, universities - they are more than 900 schools in the region of Iasi. The delegates are students from the 11 and 12 grade. They are learning English as first lan-guage and as second language French or German. Their hobbies are languages, of course, and international programs. They participated already several times on different international sessions in several countries (for example in Australia last month). But it is their first time in France. The Romanian delegates would like to discover the culture, the traditions of the other students from France and Germany. They want to discover what French and German students are doing in their free-time, how they have fun. They want to discover the way of life of other Europeans. What better for discovering young Europeans than a session by the European Youth Parlia-ment? So now they are here with us! It is their first time at an EYP-Session and we should let them discover France and Germany within a special European view.

Do you know Lille?

The „European Capital of Culture“ 2004, Lille, appeared in the Middle Ages. Its name comes from Insula (Island in Latvian), then Lole, as the city was built on the river Dêule. The brand new district Euralille, which was inaugurated in 1994, is the living example of a highly successfull conversion. With this way of modernisation, the old industrial stamed city tries to renew her outlook to a new, modern city in the north of France. It‘s also the city where the famous Général de Gaulle was born. Today Lille proclaims itself as an important European city, because it lays right in the middle of the triangle London, Bruxelles and Paris. So you can see and feel a very international atmosphere by every step you do here. So, keep your eyes open, recognise the new views and enjoy the city.

What to say about Teambuilding?(by Alex)

You, as delegate, already discovered the Teambuilding games, jokes and sec-rets. Hopefully you understand now, what was the aim of those two days. The Teambuilding had great success by the Committee on Energy: after they had played a game with a robe, the delegates bounded their poor chair. Ac-tually Nathalie has any chances against her Committee, composed by 3 girls and 4 boys. Maybe it is one very important day in the history of Teambuilding by EYP: a chair losing the control on his Committee and ended up bounded on the floor. Poor Nathalie…At the same time Estelle and Hadrien tried hardly to explain the murder-game to their Committees but it was useless. Their efforts rested without any success. They leave just a great confusion in the mind of their delegates. The question is if the problem was with the chairs explanations or if the delegates were not listening carefully enough to get the system of the game. Hopefully the delegates will understand the game after the third attempt. The Committee on Internal Affairs I made a great multi-legs-monster while the delegates of the Committee on Energy get closer to each other with the “pass-the-orange”-game. If you want to know more about this game, you can ask Nathalie and her delegates – they are already professionals. The organizers started to be jealous and decided to play with the committees. Cécile made a great job as a murder and had a lot of fun while killing not only delegates but some chairs too (Cécile: “No comment!”).We are maybe sometimes a little bit mean but we love you, dear delegates and we only want to have fun with you!!

Hairy ContestNow, as you are on the spot, you know what it is about? It is about fame. About attention, to be seen, and about...HAIRS! You know, nóthing is more important for your all over style then the creation on your head. If bald head or Bundesligafriseur, the Danish word for the mullet. Everything goes. But during the last two days we have already seen things, that does not fit on any cow hide ;)

„I‘m not sleeping. I just look at my eyelid from the

inside.“

You know, most people in EYP say, „Work hard, party harder“. So you did last night in a very wonderful way.

We all have been really surprised and happy, that you finished the day in this amusing and fan-tastic way, and I think the question, if you had fun, has no need. But while partied, somebody always party harder. As long as this person is from Poland. So, repsect, and try to keep up.

Do the Asia(n) Dance!

El Eurovillage(by Ferdi & Kristbjörg)

A man sitting last night in the lobby might have heard some very bizarre sounds coming deep from the ground: “Hmmm”, “Ahhh”, “Yummy”…Cu-rious as he was, he went downstairs and to his amazement found the fan-tastic festival that is known to EYP’ers as Eurovillage. And suddenly the strange sounds he perceived earlier made perfect sense as he looked upon the delicacies laid before his eyes: he saw German Schwarzbrot, Bavari-an Brezen, French Soucisson, Brittonian Galette, Polish Cookies, Berlian Rollmops, Icelandic dried Haddock, Italian Pasta, Finnish gingerbread and Swedish liquorish. He could not believe his eyes. All this wonderful food in the same room, what other choice did he have but to taste every single edible bit he could lay his hands on, and those were a lot of bits. After eating these enormous amounts of Europe’s tastiness he suddenly felt weary in the head, but fortunately the Finn came running to his rescue with his powerful and energising black coffee. Thanks to this new found strength the man started to notice the beautiful décor in the room. The presentation of the stands was striking, a variety of colours, national crests and beautiful flags. But there was one flag he failed to recognise, it was blue, white, red and yet it was not France. He thought to himself: “This must be from Nowhereland near the North pole!”. Could this country still be within the borders of Europe? It even became more confusing when later on a Polish girl who actually moved like a funky chicken asked him to dance. Even though her moves were quite bizarre, her blue eyes enticed him to shake his booty all night long on the dance floor with this nice chicken. Somebody whispered her name to him

Martin to Kristbjörg: „Is it true that you live half of your life in darkness?“ K.: „No, we have 4 weeks of sun each year!!“ M.: „So what do you do in the darkness.“ K.: „Thinking“ M.: „I‘m so happy that i come from a country of the sun.“ K.: „So you don‘t think!“

Kristbjörg: „Do you want it one my stick-dick?“

Nathalie: „ I like torture my committee!“

Maret: „Look, I‘m an airplane!“ (while lying on a bench)

Bea: „First of all it is in the Kleinhirn.“

Bea (tasting the Romanian Cola-Coffee-Mix): „Bäääh.“ Alex: „I like it.“ Bea: „Of course, you are from Bulgaria.“

Yes, last night. Wow. Magnificant. Amazing. Deli-cious. We are all baff, as the Germans say. We right keeled over. Your served a great meal and you danced

that the floor burned. The atmosphere was hot, and you all were even hotter. And so, if finally resulted, that some of you felt even hotter. Yes, it‘s true, we already had some couple. UiUiUi. Just take a look and enjoy the view.

The holy mighty Box says...

...the orgas are great, because they clea-ned up the partyroom after Eurovillage while the delis were sleeping!

...that a Swedish girl wouldn‘t mind seeing German cookie in her room.

...that the chairs are really only here to meet each other. And that there is maybe something going on between Eero and Asia.

...that Veronica from Sweden has a little thing for making out with her best (girl-) friends, [Edit: Explaination please ;) ]

...that some are afraid of a ghost, that is living in the youth hostel.

...that a delegate from Romania is hiding a hamster in her room. [Edit: Sure?]

...that the Swedish girls love setting alarms off...So far they have been banned from Lidl and H&M in Lille. Now they‘re ready for Germany!

...that Hadrien will perform as Schnappi, when he will be in hell later

...that le president is not used to get up on Wednesdays.

...that members of the press still don‘t find their way from lunch to teambuilding on their own.

And? Now it‘s your turn. The Box is waiting everywhere...
