Company History

The evolution of art through the passage of time has been a continuous

voyage of the mind visualizing and playing with art creating new styles

and advanced techniques

Traveling has always been an influential part of the progression and

growth of humankind and has allowed the world to create exceptional

works of art and stories of wanderlust.

Lilou Italy was born from a dream by it’s founder Brenda Lois Turrisi. An

artist who’s world wide travels inspired her to created a collection of

paintings entitled Voyage. Her continuous travels around the world

allowed her to immortalize the details and colors that characterized the

places of her sojourns.

The principal theme, Voyage, is the prevailing vision of the company

with an ultimate inspiration from one of the most famous and artistic

cities in the world. Rome.

This is where Brenda started to conceive a new form of artistic creation

falling in love with the artisan works and the exclusivity of Made in Italy,

which for years, together with her husband, spent promoting around the

world.

Italy, land of art, fashion and craftsmanship is the pulsating heart of Lilou

Italy which, thanks to the century old experience in the jewelry sector of

her husbands family, saw the formation of artistic, precious and

exclusive elements.

It was there that Brenda together with her nephew, Giuseppe Turrisi who

grew up in the jewelry sector as his family always desired, created Lilou

Italy. A brand unique in it’s gender, that expresses the experience

accumulated during Brenda’s extended journeys around the world.

Fundamental and unique elements that intersect with the world of

jewelry and the traditional craftsmanship that is typical of Made in Italy,

are the elements that distinguish the company.

Company News

Lilou Italy between 2016-2017 increased its research and development

through the establishment of joint ventures with technology companies

of high scientific and technological profile.

The company prototyped and implemented a 3D printer of the newest

technology, power and carbon wax, in order to accelerate and

improve the prototyping process.

Between 2016-2017, the company has developed a new marketing

model based on the use of social media in order to attract more industry

to target luxury customers , responding in a decisive and innovative

manner to the needs that the luxury sector market requires.

Connected to a choice of digital marketing, Lilou Italy has formed two

new business units, to bring the model of the fashion designer to that of

jewelry, sponsoring and helping emerging artists, in order to broaden the

artistic vision of the brand thus permeating the company.

Industry Information

The world's luxury goods market will slow a bit in 2014, but is still holding

up despite the global economic crisis: in 2014, it will grow by 5% at

constant exchange rates, hitting €223 billion, according to figures from

Worldwide Markets Monitor prepared by Fondazione Altagamma,

Bain&Company and Sda-Bocconi presented on October 14.

Moreover, Italy remains the third market for luxury goods, with €16.1

billion, while the US and Japan rank respectively first and second, as in

2013, with €64.9 billion and €18 billion.

The figures show that Italy is still a hotspot for luxury goods purchases,

and Milan, the only Italian city in the world's top ten list for shopping

destinations, plays an important role. New York city ranks first, at €22.3

billion, followed by Paris (€11.3 billion) and London (€10.1 billion), while

Milan is 8th at €5.1 billion.

“In 2014, Italy slipped 1% from 2013, but still remains the main luxury

goods manufacturing hub: we estimate that 80% to -- possibly -- 90% of

brand products are manufactured here,” said Claudia D'Arpizio,

partner at Bain and author of the Worldwide Markets Monitor.

Clearly, most of the purchases of high-end goods in Milan and in Italy

were not made by Italian shoppers, but by tourists, both from Europe

and from outside the EU, as confirmed by another study presented at

the conference and carried out by GlobalBlue, a company offering

shopping services to foreign tourists, such as VAT reimbursements.

In the first nine months of the year, tax-free purchases in Europe were

unchanged, but Italy stood third after France and the UK, at 16% of total

tax-free purchases, which were worth €40 billion in 2013.

The slowdown in tax-free shopping (for the first time in six years) is mainly

due to a drop in Russian tourists, who, however, are still the largest group

in Italy. By contrast, in Europe the Chinese were the biggest buyers in the

first nine months of 2014.

"Italy would lose enormous hands mine are small but, in the end, they're

enormous, too. Unfortunately, we're not valued. Actually, we are

ignored.”

Gueli says the state and, in particular, artisans' associations and unions

don't provide sufficient support to tailors, such as loans, assistance and

workers.

Historically, Italy was a country which was capable of transforming raw

materials into products which could be sold to other countries.

Independently of which currency is used, globalisation has reduced the

opportunity for Italian goods to be successful in world markets as

developing countries have gained a larger stake in exporting goods to

areas such as Europe.

advantageous position if they are of greater quality than alternatives,

with a high level of technological skill in terms of production.

company ensures the product and grants exclusively (not for

commercial purposes) the design to the customer thereby ensuring a

service of the highest excellence.

Lilou Maison is the business unit created in order to bring out the art

within the company. High-quality materials, unique designs and limited

collections guarantee customers an exciting journey into the artistic

beauty exclusively Made in Italy.

Innovation and technology will join the company's concept of creating

Lilou Maison through an incubator and accelerator for young designers.

Each product is designed following rigorous steps to ensure the highest

quality and excellence. Two techniques that blend, gold jewelry and

metal processing, forming the uniqueness and the know-how of the

company. Thanks to the production strategy through the method of

Group Technology and a system of Engineer To Order (ETO) and Make

To Order (MTO) the company has in place a methodology of high

precision with constant research and technological development.

The production process of a single object created by Lilou follows 25

steps exclusively made by Italian artisans.
