AGM AGENDA : - MEETING VENUES - WHAT IS BEING SUGGESTED The club currently meets on 2nd & 4th Mondays March to November at Kirkby on Bain. Which is roughly in the centre of the county.Getting home from work, a bit of tea, change into the kit & fire up the beast, for many means a long journey to branch meetings. Distances from Grantham, Grimsby, Gainsborough, and that is just the "G"s can realise a return journey approaching 100 miles, and even in the best of weather can make a late night.

The suggestion is that based on the demographic of where the largest clusters of members live that the 2nd Monday meeting is at a venue that serves the greater number of locals. Example: cluster to serve Grimsby, Louth , Mablethorpe, Caistor, Market Rasen.Another possibly; Gainsborough, Brigg, Scunthorpe, Caistor & Market Rasen Going South Skegness, Boston, Sleaford, Spalding, or Grantham, Sleaford, Newark etc.Spalding, Bourne, Stamford and so on..... We want local members to find suitable meeting places. Sites that provide a meeting place, a loo, sustenance for the inner biker etc. One Lincolnshire Branch but convenient meeting places at least once a month. Plus ride out programme ideas.

Your next task at the AGM is to name our new mascot , generously donated by Becky & Martyn from Guernsey Branch. Seen here on tour at Spalding Motor Cycle Show

AGM MINUTES 2013

MINUTES OF THE SEVENTH ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF THE TRIUMPH OWNERS MOTORCYCLE CLUB - LINCOLNSHIRE BRANCH HELD ON 22ND APRIL 2013 AT THE EBRINGTON ARMS, KIRKBY ON BAIN.

1. APOLOGIES: Dave and Dianna Jackson, Jim Welbourne, Gordon Bellamy, Becky Elliott.

Present 18 members.

2. Minutes of the 2012 AGM:

Jeff Sardeson asked if all members present had read them. He then asked if they could be taken as a true record. Proposed as a true record by Laurence Gray and seconded by Alan Caine.

3. Matters Arising: None

4. Chairman’s Report:

Chippy thanked the Committee for their support over the past year and especially thanked Laurence and Jane Gray for organising the splendid Christmas Dinner and the recent quiz held at Billinghay. He mentioned that the rideouts had all gone well over the year but was a little disappointed that the support and attendance by club members had been poor. He said that he understands the individual problems that members have, but can't help feeling disappointed more don't make the effort. He went on to report the sad loss of two members wives over the past year, Roger and Mac. He closed by thanking everyone who attended the AGM and said that his Hinckley Bonnie was for sale …. for no less than £4,200.00 !!

5. Treasurers Report:

Dave Pollitt provided a balance sheet of the financial activity of the Club over the year. He said the auditor had done a thorough job and was pleased he and the auditor had both agreed the same balance, to the penny. The auditor had been rewarded by the committee for the excellent report he had provided for the treasurer and that most of his recommendations had already been put into action. Finally, Dave said that the Christmas dinner had been well attended and that the subsidy helped members enjoy an excellent evening. The report was proposed by Jane Gray and Seconded by R. Wood.

6. Election Of Officers:

Jeff Sardeson explained that all the current committee members were willing to carry on but any new faces would be most welcome.

Chairman - Chippy Wood Vice Chairman - Alan Caine Secretary - Jeff Sardeson

Treasurer - Dave Pollitt Publicity Officer - A. Caine Merchandising Officer - Laurence Gray

were all proposed en-bloc by Richard Coulson. This was seconded by Iain MacPhail. All were in favour.

7. Results of the survey of membership: Jeff Sardeson discussed the results of the survey, the returns of which, he said, had been quite disappointing. However, there had been one or two good suggestions made about how the meetings could be improved. The Committee will try to take on board several of the matters that were raised in general conversation during this item.

8. Membership renewal process: Jeff Sardeson and Dave Pollitt outlined the changes that HQ were bringing in for internet banking and minor alterations to the way in which Renewals would be administered. However, it is not yet known precisely what was agreed at HQ AGM so, until the system is fully know, Jeff and Dave would continue to operate the renewals system that everyone was familiar with until notified otherwise. Members noted the item.

9. British Superbikes School – Blyton, Lincolnshire:

Jeff Sardeson outlined the invitation that the club had received from this new business venture that was offering a discounted track day at this new venue. After general discussion it was agreed to contact the circuit and find out more details so that members could decide whether to take advantage of the offer.

10. Possible Changes to the frequency and venue of ordinary meetings:

Jeff Sardeson outlined the issues and suggestions referred to in the paper attached to the agenda. After general discussion it was unanimously agreed to meet once a month (on the second Monday) at the Ebrington Arms, Kirkby on Bain. On the fourth Monday of each Month the meeting would be at a venue chosen in advance. The next meeting was agreed to coincide with the MAG Bike Night at Horncastle. It was further unanimously agreed that meetings would not be held in December, January or February save for the Christmas meal at the Ebrington Arms.

11. Any Other Business:

Alan Caine had notified the Secretary that he wished the AGM to discuss the issue of some events asking individual members to pay an entrance fee to participate. He felt that this was unfair given that our displays were the attraction and that we were not there to sell anything as a trade stand would. Most members present agreed and it was agreed not to support these events as a club, but the decision to display was left to the individual.

There being no further business the AGM was closed at 20.55 hours.

Signed...... R. Wood. Chairman Signed... Jeff Sardeson. Secretary THATS ALL FOLKS
