A - 80296-25 A - 80296-35 1 3/8 yds • Cut 7 – 6 ½” x WOF strips
• From each strip, sub-cut 1 – 6 ½” x 28 ½” rectangle and 1 – 6 ½” x 14 ½” rectangle
B – 80294-26 B - 80290-36 2/3 yd • Cut 3 – 6 ½” x WOF strips
• Sub-cut 7 – 6 ½” x 14 ½” rectangles
C - 81300-11 C - 80292-12 2 1/3 yds • Cut 3 – 6 ½” x WOF strips
• Sub-cut 14 – 6 ½” x 6 ½” squares and 7 – 6 ½” x 4 ½” rectangles
• Cut 19 – 3 ½” x WOF strips (for vertical rows & inner border)
D - 80295-37 D - 80295-73 1 3/4 yds • Cut 8 – 4 ½” x WOF strips (for outer border)
• Cut 9 – 2 ¼” x WOF strips (for binding)
E - 80290-26 E - 80291-35 5 3/4 yds • Cut in half x WOF to get 2 – 104” pieces (approx.)
• Sew the two pieces together along the selvage edges to get a backing piece measuring approximately 88” x 103”
Assembly of Vertical Row 1: Keeping the direction of the ombre print the same for each row, sew together a 28 ½” Fabric A rectangle with a 6 ½” Fabric C square; then add a 14 ½” Fabric B rectangle, followed by another 6 ½” Fabric C square; then add a 14 ½” Fabric A rectangle, and complete the row by adding a 4 ½” Fabric C rectangle. Repeat to make seven Vertical Row 1’s. Assembly of Vertical Row 2: Join two of the 3 ½” Fabric C strips together for each row. Trim to match the length of your Vertical Row 1’s (should be approximately 72 ½”). Make six Vertical Row 2’s. Quilt Top Assembly: Sew the vertical rows together, alternating Row 1 & Row 2, and turning every other Row 1 in the opposite direction. Refer to image for placement. Inner Border: Join the remaining seven 3 ½” Fabric C strips together. From this long strip, cut two side inner borders (approximately 72 ½” each); sew the side borders to the quilt center. Cut the top & bottom inner borders (approximately 66 ½” each); sew the top & bottom borders to the quilt center. Outer Border: Join the outer border in the same manner, using the 4 ½” Fabric D strips. Measure the length of the quilt top to determine the size for the side borders (approximately 78 ½”). Add the side borders, then measure the width of the quilt top to determine the size for the top & bottom borders (approximately 86 ½”). Finishing the Quilt: Layer, quilt & bind as desired.
