The RIDI LINIA T16 luminaire family
VL continuous lighting system: This continuous lighting system comes in two basic versions: • VLF-T16 batten for single and continuous mounting• VL-T16/VLS-T16, continuous lighting system for predominantly continuous mounting The following features are characteristic of both versions:
Batten VLF: This product series features a slimline luminaire body and a ceiling plate, making it ideally suited for directceiling and wall mounting as well as mounting as a single luminaire. Pendant mounting is possible using ac-cessories. By in-row ceiling or wall mounting of several luminaires, continuous lighting systems can becreated. The version VLF-T16 is only available with protection class IP 20.
Continuous lighting system VL/VLS: This product series comes with trunking (VLT-T16) in a 1-3 lamp length version featuring open through wi-ring with flexible take-off, and a gear tray (VLG-T16/VLSG-T16), which is electrically and mechanically con-nected to the trunking by means of a patented adapter system. This luminaire system is ideally suited forthe creation of modular and continuous lighting systems, also over long lengths. It is characterized by a sim-ple quick-mounting system which cuts down on the time required for installation. The special features ofthis system are the through wiring with facility for variable take-off at any optional position, and the fact thattrunking VLT-T16 can be optionally used in combination with gear tray VLG-T16… to create a continuouslighting system complying with protection class IP 20, or in combination with gear tray VLSG-T16… andseals (VLTVD) at the trunking joint to create a system complying with IP 54.
The luminaire colours: Luminaire version VLF is available as standard in white, while the VL-T16/VLS-T16 version can be suppliedin the standard colours white and silver.
Fixing accessories:While the VLF-T16 battens are mounted using standard commercially available fixing materials directly onfixing surfaces, and the LINIA DECO fixing kits are required for pendant mounting, for the VL-T16 continuouslighting system, system-specific fixing material is required both for pendant fixing and also direct mountingon fixing surfaces. These fixing materials are listed and described in detail on the accessories pages.
Design configurations using junction points: In modern room interior architecture and design, the trend is away from a strictly rectangular arrangementof furnishings and fittings. This trend must be reflected in a similar degree of variability in design of thelighting system. For this reason, for the luminaires of the LINIA VL-T16 series, junction points are availableas design elements which permit different geometrical patterns to be created. The variability of the junctionpoint adapters also permits the suspension points to be specially adapted in line with circumstances on site.
Lighting engineering: A wide range of optical control elements is available for use with the luminaire series VLF-T16, VL-T16 andVLS-T16 in the form of different reflectors, louvres and panels. These differ not only in terms of their finishquality and formal design, but also by the achievement of different photometric efficiency. This makes theluminaire system suitable for a wide range of different applications from industry through to administration.Information on the configuration and application of the different optical control elements is provided in theproduct description pages of the LINIA catalogue.

Batten VLF-T16
Standalone or in combination with LINIA T-16 optical controllers for T16 lamps.
Design: Rigid steel profiled luminaire housing made of sheet steel, coated white on both sides. End pieces in plas-tic complete with knock-outs for through wiring inside or outside of the luminaire. Profiled ceiling plate with an in-dented channel on the ceiling side for through wiring external to the luminaire, max. 3 x 1.5 mm² / diameter 8 mm.With electronic ballasts (EVG), 220 - 240 V, 50-60 Hz
Mounting: Simple, low-cost single-handed mounting of the luminaire ceiling plate using screws or similar (not in-cluded) through the keyhole-shaped hole in the plate. For pendant mounting, the LINIA DECO fixing kits can beused.The battens of the series VLF can be fitted with a large selection of reflectors, mirror reflectors and louvres.
Note: Luminaires with MM symbol are suitable for furniture mounting. Models without an index are not suitable.

Gear tray with movement sensor. Colour coding blue for mounting in VLT-5, VLT-7 or VLT-11.Movement sensor directly activates the gear, so that no additional control cables are required. Each gear trayworks independently. After the last detected movement, the lighting level remains at 100% for the run-on period of 5 minutes. After-wards it is dimmed to 10%. After a further 17 seconds, the lamp is switched off. The number of switching cyclesdoes not influence the service life of the lamp. Maximum mounting height 5 m. Other movement sensors with dif-ferent mounting heights can be supplied on request. Other run-on times can be pre-programmed on request.

Gear tray – optical controller combination VLSGR-T16 ... SG
Design: Profiled, galvanized white coated steel gear tray housing. Plastic coated quick-release catches for mount-ing on trunking and for fixing the reflector. In conjunction with trunking VLT, to create modular or variable continu-ous lighting systems complying to IP 54 protection rating. The gear trays can be mounted at any optional locationthe trunking. Electrical adapters for flexible take-off of the through-wiring in the trunking. Phase selection bymeans of sliding contact. Coloured and optical coding for simple mounting. Mechanical coding prevents inadver-tent polarity reversal. With electronic (EVG) ballast, 220 – 240 V, 0/50-60 Hz. Steel reflector white powder coated with internal catches for fixing the panel frame. For use in rooms with a highdegree of soiling. Cover panel provides improved protection for the lamps and optical controllers. Longer mainte-nance intervals.Sealing material to ensure protection rating compliance silicone-free. With highly transparent acrylic cover made ofUV stabilized PMMA and parabolic mirror louvre in specular anodized super-purity aluminium.
