Linkin Park - REANIMATION

Page 2: Linkin Park REANIMATION Digipak Analysis

Front:

The main picture is a cartoon drawing of a flying robot, the picture is taken from the original album ‘Hybrid Theory’, which this album is a remix of. This is also seen in the later song in ‘Somewhere I Belong’ in the album ‘Meteora’.The bands logo is at the top of the album and the album name is at the bottom. This shows people clearly what artist and what album they are viewing/listening to.The typography of the writing is set specific to Linkin Park’s images because of the use of the rock like text and the way the ‘N’ in all of the text is reversed.

At the top it states that the album is a collection of remixes and underneath lists the track names, track numbers and who the track were remixed by.Under the tracks there is information including who produced the album, that the CD includes bonus content, and copyright notices, people may want to know this kind of information before purchasing the album. The same typography of text is on the spine of the album to show the artists name and album cover when it is being sold in shops. We can see the record labels at the bottom of the digipak, to show who produced the album.

Inside:

Inside there are a more pictures of the same robotic creatures and the artist name, album name and track names are listed again. The robotics solider that is on the right hand side inside of the digipak is from the first album ‘Hybrid Theory’ as the front cover image. This is in comparison to the first album because the songs from ‘REANIMATION’ are remixes of the songs from ‘Hybrid Theory’.
