The Story Of The Lion King

The story opens with the animals of the grasslands gathering to be introduced to the new prince of the lions, named Simba. Simba grows and his father shows him the pridelands and explains the circle of life to his son. Simba goes to see his uncle Scar. The scheming lion piques the cub's curiosity by mentioning the elephant graveyard, a place where Simba is forbidden to go.Scar connives to kill Sima’s father and convice Simba that it was his fault that his father died. He tells Simba that he must flee the pridelands.Simba flees to the desert, where he meets Timon, a meerkat, and Pumbaa, a warthog. Simba takes up with the two, and grows into a carefree lion. He later saves Timon from a lioness, and recognizes his childhood friend Nala. She encourages him to return to the pridelands and challenge Scar for his rightful place as king of the lions.
