The Mayor’s 12th Annual Christmas Celebration Ottawa City Hall, 110 Laurier Ave W

featuring: ice skating on the Rink of Dreams, hot chocolate and horse-drawn wagon rides on Mario Dewar Plaza (outside of City Hall); meeting Santa and Mrs. Claus, creating crafts in Santa’s workshop, face painting, and live

Hintonburg invites you to join them for a free Christmas meal at the Carleton Tavern, intersection Armstrong St and Parkdale Ave, next to the Parkdale

Market. The meal features two options: 1. Traditionnal (turkey, meat pies, etc.); 2. Vegetarian meal provided by Indian Express Food & Sweets.

Don’t stay alone at Christmas! Come and meet your neighbours and friends. Experience the warmth of the Hintonburg Community family. Listen to some

The Hintonburg Economic Development Committee (HEDC) is seeking

donations of turkeys, hams and baked goods for the dinner, as well as new gifts for adults, especially for men (warm scarves, socks, mitts, gloves, hats, gift certificates, bus tickets, telephone cards). Gifts for women, teens and

children also accepted, as well as pet food. Please leave gifts unwrapped – however, gifts bags are appreciated. Gifts can be dropped off at the Carleton

Tavern the week before Christmas. Frozen turkeys should be dropped at the Carleton Tavern one week before Christmas only.

Christmas Hampers, Vouchers and Toys

Toy Mountain and Christmas Exchange are the central agencies that operate donations of vouchers/redeemable gift certificates,

Christmas hampers and toys in Ottawa. Application is made through local agencies that are receiving applications in their names. Please

dial 2-1-1 to find out the nearest agency with whom you can register.

the toys to eligible families. Free toys for children 12 and under are distributed Monday, December 3rd to Saturday, December 22nd.

this time of year.

Barrhaven Emergency Food Cupboard is looking for families/groups/schools/churches who would like to sponsor a needy

family in Barrhaven for a Christmas Hamper. To sponsor a family, call 613-825-4505 and leave a message - a volunteer will return your call within 24 to 48 hours.

Shepherds of Good Hope needs people to sponsor Christmas dinners

and all the trimmings for families in need. For information about the
