PREFACE

Practical training program for students are the most crucial and beneficiary partof the course. While availing this facility students not only enjoy this opportunityto test accuracy of theoretical knowledge but also learn how the practical worldbehaves. In real sense it is a challenge to match our creativity and vision withdemands of challenging environment, an endure to fire out imagination,challenge our thinking and give us a chance to match all what future holds.

Selection of NBP bank for internship is a desire to work in a challengingenvironment and being able to put efforts to understand and absorb the bankingculture existing in the organization. This report extracts of initial banking.Observation and analysis of NBP bank. Which would not challenge NBP banklimitation?

This internship report has benefited from the input of various individuals. Iextend my deepest gratitude to Almighty ALLAH for enabling me to do justicewith my work.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

For the completion of my report I am indebted to plenty of people for their very

sincere cooperation that they extended to me at various stages. First and foremost

problem that every student faces is the completion of a report is gathering of data

while it is very difficult to learn & rotate in different department of the bank especially

in National Bank of Pakistan where work burden is quite higher compare with other

banks. On the other hand there is too much short time of our internship (six weeks),

further more staffs of the bank are too busy in their work so that we cannot be able

to learn and do according to our report requirement.

I am very thankful to staff members of National Bank of Pakistan, The Peshawar

City Branch, for guidance and providing me valuable information regarding my

report completion.

Finally I am thankful to the most merciful and Almighty Allah who gives me the

strength that I fulfill my task efficiently.

Executive Summery

This report highlights the financial situation of National Bank of Pakistan and itsStrength Weakness, Opportunities and Threat and the work which I did in internship.National Bank of Pakistan acts as financial agent to its customers in return to getsreward for its services in the shape of profit. Being a government owned institution itplays an important role in development of society as well as in development and growthof economy.National Bank of Pakistan is one of the leading bank in Pakistan. According to theinternational standards of banking system it is one of the best bank in South Asianregion.The report is based on (six weeks) internship program in National Bank of Pakistan. Themethodology of gathering information is primary as well as secondary. The biggestsource of information is my personal experience observations while working with staffand having discussion with them.
